Hanuman: The Heroic Monkey God (Minibook)

Great book, but not quite for 4-8 year olds in my opinion
I was a bit surprised when we received Hanuman. The information provided is a bit contradictory - the publisher's info say age range 4-8 (pre-K to 3rd grade), but the review is for Grades 3-6. I think the latter is more accurate - it is lengthy and written for the older audience. That being said, it is still a wonderful book with beautiful pictures my 3 1/2 year old loves. I am sure she will enjoy reading it someday, but today we give her the Cliff Notes version of the story. :)I have since stumbled onto multiple books by this publisher and find them to be wonderful, and will save them for my kids as they get older. They are sometimes not easy to find.

good
Its a good book but a bit lenghty. I bought it for my 5yr old daughter, she does like to read it but you can tell that after a while she loses focus or does not understand what is happening.Given the choice again I would still buy this book but may for her when she is 7yr.

A little book with a big message . . .
For anyone who is new to Hinduism this is a great introduction to Sri Hanuman; perfect for children and adults. My book arrived today and I stood at the table in the post office, read the entire book cover to cover and could not help but get misty eyed. The illustrations are simply gorgeous. The lessons taught are even more beautiful; among them "There is no such thing as large or small when it comes to acts of love." also "Rama nodded and said: "All of these were gifts that you were given long ago. You have followed your heart and found these gifts inside of you.""This book is a must-have for every person who is even the least bit spiritual and one that I will read again and again for a long time to come.

Minibook with a mini story
Well, when I purchased this book, I expected more in-depth features about Hanuman, not a rundown of the Ramayana (Rama and Sita's plight). I was looking for tales about the monkey god Hanuman, not depictions of Rama, Sita and Ravana. This is important: I also thought there was more to Hanuman than the Ramayana (Rama and Sita's exploits). I was wrong, at least according to this minibook. I was left languishing for more knowledge about Hanuman. This minibook did not do me justice.Yes, the publisher indicates this is a minibook. However, the book being downright mini and certainly under 100 pages, perhaps it suits a young child or tween, as they are known these days. The minibook is tiny with a hard cover--perfect for gift giving to a youngster. So, since this book does not go into length about Hanuman, specifically, and since the book is decisively titled Hanuman without discussing the monkey god in all his glory, I give the minibook two stars.

Too small
This book has wonderful pictures, but it is too small. I wish they made a version of this 4 times as big. It's hard to read a book to a child when it is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.

Jay Hanuman!
The book is tiny, but the story contained in it is of a huge strength! I simply loved readig about Hanuman's life and qualities.

Great books
Brought this book to add to my ( Mini book ) collection series from the same publisher . But unfortunately on opening my order I immediately noticed the hard cover protection sleeve was not of the same quality . These books must be a later print addition as mine have tracing paper quality covers that look a lot more bespoke . This is only a small detail that detracts from the look of the book as the actual book itself seems to be of the same quality . Again this is only noticeable if you intend to display the book with older editions as you will most definitely notice the difference in quality .
