The neck light is 27 inches long, divided into two parts of equal length separated by the battery housing to which the 13-inch charging cable (included) attaches. A light sits at each end. Each light is controlled separately with a four-position push switch...on/off and presumably three light intensities (I could discern only two. Two appeared to be equally intense, the third ..in the middle...least intense). The switch is very small and not easy to find by feel. When worn, the neck light fits comfortably around the neck with the battery housing resting on the back of the neck. The arms of the device are flexible so the light beams can be positioned where needed. They do not stay in place long as noted by others; but I did not find that an significant inconvenience. A short Velcro-equipped strap allows one to strap the arms together (I have not used them). I bought the light to read in bed and like it very much. I read laying on one side (away from sleeping wife) and use only one light. I also use the light to illuminate my computer keyboard when at my computer at odd hours of the night and morning so as not to unduly disturb sleeping wife :>). At the higher intensity, I found the light too intense; the light reflects off the page so that it is difficult to read the print. The lower light intensity is best for me. The light beams are focused straight ahead and do not illuminate much of the rest of the bedroom. I have not tested battery life; however, I charge the devise about every two days. My only negative comment is the shortness of the charging cable. It requires charging to occur very close to the source of power. A cable 24 inches long or more would be more useful.

Picked this neck light after some shopping around. It has separate brightness controls for each side of the neck, and each one has three brightness settings, so it's quite adjustable on brightness. Battery life is really good, has been used for 10-20 hours over the past month without needing to charge it.Main complaint is that the arms don't really just stay where you put them immediately. You kind of have to go back and forth with them to get them adjusted to where you need them to be. They tend towards where they were, so if you adjust it up, it will slouch back down a bit, left will go back right, etc. And they make a bit of a 'creaking' sound as you adjust them, which is annoying and really not ideal if you are trying to use them to read in bed next to someone who is sleeping (which is why we bought this in the first place).All in all, it was a good purchase for the price. Just get things adjusted first, while the other person is still awake, and you are good for many hours of reading between charges.

Bright light, light weight. It's a Christmas present. I liked it so much. I bought me one for myself. I try to read at night and I am too far from the light. This is going to be nice to have. I think my Brother is really going to like this.

Only reason I gave 4 stars Instead of 5 is the lights are facing 2 different directions. Doesnt matter 2 much. It lights my book up great. But it can be a little confusing. I think mine was probably a randomly defective one. Works great though. Very handy.

I ordered this brand for myself and another brand for my husband. This is lighter weight than the other one I ordered, which is good for me since I recently had an injury that resulted in whiplash. It’s very bright and I tend to use only one side at lowest setting to read at night. I think this will come in very handy to do other tasks that may require bright lighting within having to hold a flashlight.

Bought as a gift for my Son. He’s happy with it. He likes to read in bed .

So far so good! I bought this to wear when I walk my dog late at night, and it provides the perfect amount of light I was looking for without having to hold a flashlight. It's nice and light around my neck and the brightness is easy to adjust.

These lights are super bright. Love that it is rechargeable. Comes with a very short charger but it sits comfortably on my neck and is easily bent to direct light where I need it to read or crochet with.
