Aussie Hat Pattern

Bought this and made the medium size hat pattern first without any problems, but as has been mentioned the sizing runs large. So I made a hat using the "small" pattern but the brim was way, way too big for the crown. I had to split the crown seam a full inch to get the brim stitched, which of course ruined the shape of the hat and some very nice leather. Just for grins I tried the "large" pattern with some junk leather: the top lid was way too large for the crown and the brim was too small. Apparently they did not grade the pattern sizes well. If you only need a size 22-1/2 inch, the medium pattern is fine and the pieces fit well. I am usually a fan of springfield leather so I was quite disappointed with the pattern.
