Headphone Adapter for iPhone

I bought his as an adapter to my iPod so that I could have it charging and have the auxiliary plugged into my car at the same time. I specifically spent more on this item because I didn't want a ridged adapter. What I got was a ridged adapter (not freely bending like the picture shows). The ridged adapter just inst as comfortable in my cars console but it just wasn't worth the hassle of returning it. It works but its not the functionality that I was expecting from the items picture.

Everything is okay, except the mic and control function can't work. When I plug in the Monster SOLO HD headphone into the adapter, mic and control are not working.

I wanted to hook up my Nexus One through the auxiliary audio port on my car, but the normal 8th inch plugs hit the "next track" contact point on the phone and cause it to keep skipping tracks. This adapter makes it work. The wire is a little flimsy, but not a problem.

It worked well for 3 months. Then it started needing to twisted and fussed with to get proper sound. Now it's only delivering sound in mono. It was never misused in any way. It lived a sedentary life on a desk.I ended up shaving a sliver of rubber off the headphone plug so it would fit into my phone case. My headphones sound great again, so I know it was the adapter at fault.Giving it 2 stars, since it worked for a while and I guess you get what you pay for.

Works as intended, no issues with connection or sound. Cord seems flexible yet sturdy, I am a satisfied customer, thanks.

Got this adapter to use along with my iPhone 4 in a Bumper case. Plugged it in, and noticed it went in the jack tightly. There was clearance as far as the Bumper opening's concerned. Then came the fun part: I had to literally pry this out of my iPhone 4's jack. Tried it a couple of times to see if I could break it in, and I nearly broke the jack on the iPhone. Finally, on one of my last attempts the cable stripped away from the plug, which remained "jammed" inside the iPhone jack, and I had to use a pair of pliers to take it out. iPhone jack doesn't appear to have gotten damaged by this piece of crap fortunately.You have been warned.

I have a super duper advanced Iphone 4s case, that doesnt allow the regular aux in cable to fit for my vehicle. So I bought one just like this but not this, in Jan. it fell apart and became useless within a month. So I bought this, 3 months later, still holding up, no stress cracks, stretching, no detaching from the wire itself...perfect, and allows my aux cable to fit. sometimes, very rarely, there's some static in the audio, just make sure the cable is plugged in snugly, and its back to perfect.

Works as expected for my iPhone charging case and L-shaped earbuds plug. Not good for my Android ZTE because does not pass anything thru, like... dead.
