FORESTIME Japanese Wooden Chopsticks Spoon Fork Tableware 3pcs Set New Gift (1 Set, Brown)

I wanted to give this set a try because it looked nice and the spoon appeared deep. When I first took the set out of its plastic wrap I found the smell absolutely repugnant. The fork illustrates poor craftsmanship best: lacquer is used that smells (is it okay to even put in your mouth??) and is very poorly carved (includes splinters between the prongs). I bought this with the intention of refusing plastic utensils when outside, but unfortunately they are just not usable. And this set is made in China so they should stop marketing as "Japanese wooden."

The smell of varnish was horrible and makes me wonder if they are even safe to eat off of. Saw dust was under the varnish of the fork between the prongs and looks disgusting. I like the bag it came in, and will probably still use it with a different set of utensils. Overall, very disappointed in the quality, but the set looked cute enough to give it a shot. Took 32 days to arrive in the mail.

The product is stained /varnished, and it has a strong smell of chemicals! Is it safe for food? I don't believe it. And be aware- the product is not returnable. Never saw it in product description, only found out when trying to return them. Definitely not the type of Amazon product that you can trust.

Fell apart the first time I used them

Unit is varnished or stained or some sort of finishing. Do you want that in your mouth?

I bought three sets. And they are nicely made and I carry a set in my lunches. The carrying case is nice too. I may gift a set. Very functional.

They get one start in presentation get a -10 in quality. Chopsticks fell apart and warped after the first use and had washed them. The wrap grip also came off during 1st use don't waste your money go to your local Japanese restaurant and just keep the cheap ones they give you with your meal they will last longer

Totally forgot about these and it arrived a month later. I was duped by the high reviews. This thing is light weight, cheap, and isn't worth it. The wood is stained, then was cut into to make the fork. So there are some unstained/unfinished areas of the wood. This thing is so light weight the bubble wrap that it came with was stronger. Mine arrived broken. It just feels cheap overall. Don't believe the obvious fake reviews. This thing sucks. It went right into the trash.
