Did not come with lock ring! Otherwise, these are beautiful, lightweight, and amazing pieces of metal.Was I shorted or do we have to buy those separately?

Set this up on a new build with a X01 rear derailleur and shifter, XX1 crankset and KMC X11SL chain. First, the finish on this component is outstanding, as would anything with this level of exquisite machine-work, and all that machining comes at a cost. These suckers are expensive, far more than their 10-speed brethren. But are they worth it given the plethora of DIY 1x10 solutions out there? My assessment is that would depend on your budget. My initial impression on the trail is extremely positive, likely the result of the outstanding synergy between the components of the SRAM 1x11 drivetrain system. You gamble on that kind of synergy with a Frankenstein-ed 1x10. Shifts, even uphill under duress, are quick and positive. Given the cost, I'm concerned with tooth wear, and you can bet that I'll be diligently swapping chains and using generous amounts of lube.

As a competitive mountain bike racer and Team USA member, my gear goes through alot. The SRAM cassette is superbly made, and while lightweight, it holds up well. The largest ring can be replaced, and even an after market bigger ring can be applied.

Fit great but need special bike tool to remove old one / install new

Works well! - Note that the Park tool will not be able to tighten this if you have a 142 thru axle. The park tool (FR-5) bottoms out on the axle and will not tighten all the way.

This is one of the better purchases that I have made for my fat bikes. I noticed an immediate performance increase following installation.

Ho dubbi sul colore nero, che spero non ceda.La 1099 mi piace di più, ma la trovo a 50€ in più e non mi va di spendere ancora.Spero che il nero non si scolorisca con l'usura, non posso pensare che un prodotto così costoso possa avere 'sto problema.La cassetta l'ho montata facilmente (occorre però l'attrezzo per il blocco della catena e la chiave dinamometrica con passo apposito per svitare e poi serrare la nuova), funziona bene come la precedente 1099 (usurata negli anni). La cambiata è precisa e fluida, previa regolazione con la sola rotella al manettino del cambio al manubrio.Naturalmente con una cassetta nuova, va assolutamente montata una catena nuova.

I think these are factory rejects. I bought one along with a new chain from Amazon. The first one ticked around the 4th cog and would not shift. I took it to the shop, and they were unable to adjust it, suspecting that maybe a tooth was bent. I returned it, and installed the new one. This time 3 cogs would not shift right. Although all of the others were perfect. I adjusted it as best I can and it still hesitates before shifting. The chain is new, and I have checked for stiff links and it's fine, and in spec with my chain checker. Both cassettes came in beaten up boxes with the cassette just thrown on top. So, I suspect that someone found a source for out spec rejects (or they are not real SRAM) and is pushing them out as new. I would try a 3rd time, but it looks like Amazon only allows 1 replacement. So I am either stuck with this, or need to find an alternate source. I would like to contact the seller, but no luck finding a link for that. If there was a contact, perhaps I could get an explanation, but as a result I have to resort to this.

Cumple perfectamente las expectativas. Producto de buena calidad. El mismo que el xx1 pero pintado de negro, el anodizado empieza pronto a saltar, cosa bastante normal. Por lo demás envio perfecto y a buén precio eentro de oo caro del producto.

Questo pacco pignoni è di ottima fattura, molto leggero, il passaggio da un pignone all'altro è veloce e preciso.
