I do love the watch with its large face so I deal with the length. People notice it because of its stylish look and ask the brand. Even though the strap is a bit too long for me, I highly recommend the weekender. **Q: Is "Timex" name engraved on buckle?** A: Hello there! No, the band does not have the "Timex" engraving on the buckle. **Q: purpose of the double-layer design?** A: I think a double layer makes it adjustable in a different way. It almost may be more secure and more comfortable than a single layer band. **Q: Are all the metal fittings nickel free/allergy safe?** A: The buckle has STEEL on the back of it with an engraved number.
