Big Book of Quilting

Very easy to follow

I got this out of the library as I know next to nothing about quilting and wanted to start. It has 4 different books within it:The essential guide to practically perfect patchwork quiltsThe magic of crazy quiltingKaye Wood's Strip-Cut QuiltsFast-folded flowersThe best one in my opinion is the first book whose chapters are divided into lessons on quilting, right from what you need to buy to get started to how to choose a design. You can even make your first quilt from piecing together all the different lessons, which is a nice touch. It's written in a really accessible style and is so helpful.Although some of the books within this collection do look a little 1980s in places (some of the pictures are a little scary particularly in the crazy quilting book) it still has really useful info. Not all of the books are as well written as the first author's lessons but one of them has the best line I've seen in a book for ages, next to a picture of a rather large middle aged woman, "How to strip like a pro" - meaning strip quilts of course!I'm going to buy it just for the first book as I think that's worth the price alone.

An excellent book, everything you need to know and very detailed, idiot proof!!highly recommended.
