Westbrae Natural Organic Kidney Beans, No Salt Added, 15 Oz (Pack of 12)

I love this bean blend 😍There's a nice, even mix of the different beans and they don't taste like they come from a tin can. Just a minute or two of rinsing under running water to remove the liquid (if you like) and they're ready to be added to all sorts of dishes. So far I have used them for pasta salad and also in vegetarian chili. Both meals turned out very well. They would most likely taste wonderful on their own after sitting in a marinade of your choosing overnight.One thing to be aware of, though, is that unfortunately the colors of the different beans do not remain as they would appear if made the hard way. The kidney beans end up dying the whole lot an odd shade of reddish-pink. This doesn't bother me one bit, but if you are going for presentation it is nice to know ahead of time. It does not affect the taste in any way.

A little more expensive than I would have liked. However, I needed unsalted garbanzo beans for aquafaba - so they served their purpose at the time. I've since found a local store that sells them for about 1/3 of the price.

Just what I ordered that's all. High quality and no dented cans. :)

This Salad bean assortment is simply comprised of (all organic) kidney, garbanzo, & pinto beans. No added sugar or salt. When I look for a "salad beans" in store, usually all I find are ones loaded with added salt and or sugar. I can buy a few separate cans and mix them together, but sometimes I just want a smaller amount to work with. This product from Westbrae is good and exactly what I was looking for.Another thing that I like about this brand is that the cans are pretty well packed. Not just sitting in a bunch of water. I want to pay for beans, not water. SO I will consider this brand again when the time comes.

Beans are beans. These, albeit, are expensive beans but, they do what they need to w/o any sodium! But truly these are no different from grocery store no salt canned beans.

I have purchased these several times and like them a lot. I usually pour off the liquid and leave just a little for taste - without some liquid they are very bland if served by themselves. Good protein addition to a meal for vegetarians and vegans. Do not cause (me) any flatulence when the liquid is poured off. The price is good for organic black beans, but does cost more than regular Goya canned black beans from the supermarket. Costs about the same as twice the amount of Goya canned black beans.The main attraction is ease of delivery. The cans do not have a pull tab, and need to be opened with a can opener. Good staple to have in the house.My last delivery was the first time that a can was badly dented. I but it in a container of water to see if any bubbles came out, and none did. I thought that I would be able to eat it, but once the can was opened the thought of eating something that might make me sick made me gag. Once in my life I got food poisoning and the pain was beyond description, lost 15 pounds in a week, and 2 months later lots of hair fell out plus muscle wasting. I will ask company if they are willing to send me a replacement can.Just called Amazon; consultant Tanisha was excellent. A partial refund for this order has been credited to my account. All's well that ends well!

Having been on a 100% plant-based diet for almost a year now, I consider beans as an extremely important source of protein for me! So I was looking for the healthiest, highest quality brand of beans I could find - a product that contained organic ingredients, with no salt added, that had zero amounts of fat and cholesterol, and provided a healthy amount of good quality protein per serving. I believe I've found it the Westbrae brand of organic beans! And I love the fact that the beans taste so good, when I add herbs and spices, and include them in a salad or in a cooked dish!
