I would give a lower rating to this product due to certain content it includes if it would not hurt the seller's rating.The product was delivered as described in brand new condition and on time, but if you are planning to enjoy nature, I would not recommend purchasing it!I disagree with the director of the documentary in exposing the audience to the illegal activities of farmers at the filming location of the Lion Dynasty, because, at this point, what can we do? This documentary portrayed lions poisoned by local farmers, because the farmers were taking their herds to illegally graze in protected territories and protected their herds by tainting meat left as bait for the lions. This was really upsetting to our whole family and made us feel like we had to do something about the situation at the filming location, which was not possible. I do not think this is fair to an audience that would simply like to learn about nature and not about how people destroy it without visible consequences, leaving the audience feeling utterly helpless in the midst of injustice. This, rather, should be addressed in a separate documentary to an informed audience interested in such crimes, and the consequence suffered by those at fault should be stated so that the audience can see that not only do these crimes occur, but that the parties at fault are punished accordingly.Otherwise, it is a great collection of documentaries, namely due to the excellent narration of Sir David Attenborough and the incredible work of the filming crew.

I THINK YOU WILL LIKE THE STORY ABOUT CHIMPANZEE. THE PENGUIN I HAD SEEN BEFORE. HOWEVER, OUT OF 5 STORIES ABOUT DYNASTIES, I WAS ONLY ABLE TO WATCH TWO. BOTH DISCS WERE SO SCRATCHED THAT THEY WERE UNWATCHABLE. I SAW CHIMPANZEE AND LION. PENGUIN PAINTED WOLF AND TIGER WERE UNWATCHABLE BECAUSE OF THE SCRATCHED DISCS.

There is some strong scenes that might be hard to watch for some animal lovers. However, the food chain from one animal to another is part of the wilderness wildlife world. There are also tender loving moments never seen in situations where these animals are confined in man-made corrals such as in a zoo. This is a highly recommended DVD series for any animal lover. You will laugh, tear, have goose bumps, and experience all manner of emotion while viewing these animals in their natural habitat. Excellent cinematography and sound. Educational as well as entertaining. Good for just about any age, although remember there are bloody scenes involved.

Absolutely beautiful, entertaining and informative series: Sir David Attenborough's narrative adds to each scene with his witty comments and amazing intonation and pauses. I have been watching this one as well as the rest of the BBC Earth series with my son, and we could not ask for better family time together! Don't miss the Seven Worlds One Planet and the Blue Planets also.

The discs were in perfect condition and the dvd case was plastic wrapped so I'm not sure why but each disc has problems. I could only watch one episode on each disc and the rest would not play as if they weren't even there. I'm very disappointed as I love David Attenborough Dynasties I and 2 but I guess I'll just have to buy it again from a different seller.

Love all of the BBC shows and this is no different. I did not think I would enjoy this as much as I did. The stories are about individual families and are compelling. This makes you root for the alpha in each group of animals you observe.
