Pufferfish (Practical Fishkeeping)

The best book on pufferfish out there that I've read... this book is a bit small, but concise.. my only complaint is I wish it would be more scientific.. . I've read a few puffer books, without spending $260 on a college level textbook. I've read a lot worse, I'll tell you that, and this one is by far the best without going to that collegiate level. Whatever you do, do not buy that one book on pufferfish with the white cover and pufferfish pics on it that looks fun and inviting, written by that one guy over seas.. it's terrible, disjointed, and I'll sell it for free off my bookshelf.. total waste of time.

There is some nice basic information in the book and some nice pictures. There are a quite few species that are missing that are sold for the aquarium hobby. I still feel that the book does have value and good basic information. I would hope that someone would do more research, than reading just this book before buying a puffer. There really are not that many books out there dedicated to raising puffer so I would have to recommend this one as a start.

for a small book it gets right to the point and nice info and the one thing really special about this book it talks about some of the rare Puffers its a smart book.

The book is very nice printed and published. I've chosen the work coz I like the puffer fish. Much thankful to the author.

This book provides great information for those just starting out with pufferfish or those thinking about keeping them. Great photos of the most commonly kept fresh and brackish water puffers.
