Jasmine Dragon Pearl, 4oz.

The best green tea I've had, and at such a good price! I thought $25 for the same size package was a good deal until I saw this. I've seen the same size pack go for $40 at a local shop. The flavor is very floral with no bitterness at all unless you overbrew it.The tea is fascinating to watch when it brews. The 'pearls' will unroll into little branches, which are the tender shoots of the tea plant. Because the tea shoots are large, there is no need for an infuser since they stay at the bottom of the cup. In fact, the metal of the infuser can give the delicatley flavored tea a funny metallic taste. So I don't reccommend using a metal infuser, if you are squeamish about seeing your tea leaves at the bottom of the cup, go for a nice ceramic infuser. They make teacups with a built in ceramic strainer, one of those would be ideal for this tea.One caution: it is done when it TASTES done, even if it doesn't LOOK done. It's a very pale colored brew. I live at 6500 feet in elevation, and I usually have to boil the water to get it to brew to the proper strength within ten minutes because of the lower boiling point. At sea level, use almost boiling water. The directions say brew time is 90 seconds or less, but it usually takes three to five minutes depending on how strong you like it.

This tea is GREAT! My husband purchased 2 oz. at Teavana for $12 and was forced to purchase the container for $6 (or they would not sell him the tea), so in total we paid $18 plus tax for 2 oz of tea. Here, we purchased 4 oz. for $16.70 and its exactly the same! We were skeptical, however, it just arrived (approx 2 weeks- so plan ahead), and it smells and tastes exactly the same. We believe it took 2 weeks b/c it came from Singapore. Its the REAL DEAL! I will bet Teavana buys it from the same place.

I enjoy jasmine pearl tea a great deal because of it's fragrance, nutty flavor, relaxing properties and the beauty of the whole leaves as they unfurl in my cup, but this brand is not a good example of high quality jasmine pearl tea. The aroma and taste are both muted compared to my normal variety. For one dollar more, it's worth it to go back to the brand I drank prior which comes in a metal tin.

A great deal and the tea is really good. I am not partial to Jasmine straight so I mix the Pearls with some herbal tea. VERY GOOD and relaxing. I'll be buying this again which is probably the best thing anyone can say about tea.

I have to say, I did not know this was shipped from China. I was really disappointed in the packaging. I almost decided to send it back but decided to see how it taste. The pearls were really crushed and the smell was not a very good Jasmine smell. The taste I did not care for. Also it had some red, or dark pink looking pieces of whatever in it ???? Must have been mixed with some other kind of tea??? Truly I was very, very disappointed in the overall of this product. A bit expensive to throw out, but I am just going to dump.

I had ordered jasmine tea" pearls before and ,though expensive,the flavor was excellent.Thiis time the " pearls" came in a small package,they were crammed together,they were dry and smelled stale and sour.There was no sense to send them back to China,since the shipping is very expensive.I threw them away.At this point I am not sure what seller is worth of my trust.I will try to deal with the USA sellers of this product if I find them.

I have tried Teavana and honestly it taste the same as this Jasmine tea minus the price tag.I will certainly buy this tea again.Cute and well packaged And very deliciousPaired with a good clover honey, even a novice would fall in love with this tea.

Very good! Tastes just as good as the stuff that I buy at Teavana but just a fraction of the price.
