The pics are great. Really. The camera part works well. But I can't get a SIM to send me the pics. I've tried two GSM providers, and although both show up on the screen and the camera even shows bars, I always get the message Picture Send Fail.The software is old, and the manual isn't especially user-friendly. After several attempts to set up I gave up. The only support number to call is in China. The included instructions are poorly translated. There are multiple steps you must go through in attempt to make work. No SD card or SIM card are included so I had to purchase both. The device only accepts a prepaid SIM card which from AT&T costs a minimum $25 per month. The covers over lens and flash devices are very flimsy plastic. I highly doubt the camera is waterproof as advertised. I was truly hoping for something more user friendly. Beware on purchase of this product!

Software feels 20 years old.SIM card never gets a signal.Some of the worst documentation I've ever seen "The red light will work for 3 times, then work on PIR and IR-CUT change sound 'click' will not exist." Really?Format and Default settings controls have no effect.The problems go on and on. I honestly have no idea why people have been giving this 5 stars.

I like most features, but ended up returning it. The first problem is that while the settings allow setup of the time zone, it does NOT allow specification that it should use DST. This means the timestamp will be off by an hour for periods when that is active. It also would make more sense for it to read the time from the GPS/network instead of having to manually enter it. The second issue was that the provided software did not let me set up to use an new AT&T LTE prepaid data SIM. It worked out of the box, but the provided software (which you have to use to do other setup functions) overwrote those settings and this caused it to not work. Their support provided an updated version that fixed this, but it was not available on their web site (when I did this).

Do not buy!!!!! I spent hours and a Tech spent an hour trying to find out why the camera would not send a picture to an email or a phone. You have to buy a SIM card just to find out it doesn't work. Maybe if you live in China and can speak Chinese you could figure it out. I would spend the money tho. Oh and instructions SUCK!!!!! It wouldn't let me pick no stars so it got one for a almost good box it was packaged in.

I bought this mainly for surveillance and have to say I've been pleasantly surprised at the quality for the price I paid. It takes good quality photos and the angle is wide enough to catch a lot of activity. The night vision is pretty good. Some key points:- Setup is a little tricky but if you go to the website and download the most recent configuration software it works well. Your anti-virus software will probably flag the download but I had my anti-virus provider check it and it was cleared.- The manual is in somewhat broken English but still understandable. Their website seems decent for support.- I used a Speedtalk wireless SIM and it works fine at a reasonable monthly cost.- Getting a signal can be difficult sometimes where I'm at so right now it's sending about 25% of the pictures it takes. I'm working on ways to improve reception, possibly some changes to the antennae configuration.Overall I'm pretty happy with the purchase. A good value.

Got three of these as a christmas present a week early since my dad and I went on a hunting trip (upstate washington). After reading the manual the learning curve isnt too bad, after you play around with the Kuool for a little you really start to admire just how much time when into making it. I got real nice imagines of all kinds of critters (birds, rabbits, deers). Also blends into the background very fittingly.

Trigger speed on this camera is mammoth slow! Tech support sux!
