These light up birdies are super cool and lots of fun! They are very bright and make it possible to play all the night time badminton you can handle. We initially set up the badminton net in the dark, and tried to play by moon light. We found out real quick that without LED birdies our game was over! I searched for these on Amazon, not even knowing that they existed, and I was so happy to find them. The birdies arrived ready to play with in an easy to store box. They are made with real feathers and appear to be a much better quality than the plastic ones that came with my net and the replacement ones from department stores. The led assembly is glued into the tip and don't seem to affect the flight of the birdie at all. There is a switch so they can be used day or night. The LED light is very bright and very easy to follow when playing a night time game. We even shut off all the outside light around the net to play in total darkness which was great fun The only issue I had was that eventually the LED lights would stop working due to loose connections from being hit. I was able to remove the LED battery and switch assembly and reconnect the wires for further use. These are a must have for night time badminton and I have already ordered more with more color options too. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

They're quite a bit heavier than regular shuttlecocks (no doubt), and as a result, they tend to fly really far. Construction is kind of cheap, with bits of glue overrun and the feathers take on wear quickly after a few hits. The product description also seems to be somewhat inaccurate as these are not made with SMD LEDs (looks like the typical through-hole, clear epoxy dome lens LED) nor is it a push button switch (it's actually a tiny slider). The close up picture of the lighting assembly is accurate and otherwise works as expected.All in all, these things are a lot of fun to volley with out in an open field. If you line your racquets with some glow wire and wear some glow sticks, you could a completely pitch black game!

Works as described. We use these at night in the fall & put white xmas lights on our badminton net so we can see a little better. These are a little heaver than your average shuttlecock, but that's to be expected knowing there is a light & battery in the end. We used these last summer and when I went to get them out again this year they were still working! This year I will store them a little better, the feathers got a little bent from just being tossed in a box for 3 seasons.

Came in in green the color I selected they take some getting used to each time due the much heavier weight over Mavis 350 I normally play with. Surprisingly they are decently stable in flight and are plenty bright for night badminton. So far the one we have been using has not failed to work. Will update the review as we go through them and how long to expect batteries to last.

Almost the greatest thing ever. We've got one of them that if you hit it just right, the switch goes OFF. We call that "DOUBLE POINTS MODE", so if you miss - you loose twice the points. So far none of them have failed. ONE of the five has got a feather hanging, but we still have 2 we've never used. They take abuse AND actually the extra weight makes them MUCH better to play with than the cheap ones that came with our Wally world special Badminton net. Highly recommend.

We have used these over and over and really like them. If you remember to turn them OFF (so they do not go dead) they are a fun item.I would recommend these.Five stars could be attained if they were just a LITTLE bit heavier.

These actually did work pretty well for a 4th of July party. Not the most durable things, but the whole box held up to some massive abusive from a bunch of overgrown kids.

The feathers start breaking off after a few times playing with it, the led stop working even sooner do to bad wiring or cheap wiring.
