Grey Anti Static ESD Grounding Bench Mat Kit, UK plug, 600 x 500mm

I used this kit to help build my new water cooled pc and rebuild 2 other computers on and the mat didn’t suffer any nicks or cuts from the sharp solder points poking out of the back of the pcb’s, surprisingly it even survived my insanely heavy water cooled pc with no damage. The wrist band should fit all but the largest tree stump like wrists and is well made and the cord long enough for desk mounted plug socket, the other earth cable for the mat is very long and requires cable management to avoid a mass of blue cabling everywhere, the plug feels a little cheap but it does the job, it holds in the plug socket firmly and the cable button poppers attach securely.

The mat took a while to be delivered about a week more than estimated, but was very happy to receive it in the end as I had to start working with computer assembly and want to make sure I do not damage any critical parts of my or anyone else's computers.The Mat itself is good and earthing cable is very long so it can be plugged in about 2 metres away from earthing point i.e. power outlet and set up un the bench in desired location. The Wrist strap is a bit short, and even though it has an extending like a spring function it pulls the mat along with it, so unless something heavy is right next to the plug in point the mat is folding toward the direction you move.Overall, I am happy to have ESD safety equipment and be sure I do not damage ESD sensitive devices.

Great product. Good investment - it will prevent any static damage to your electronics while working on them. The 13 amp earthing plug was missing initially but the seller provided this by next day delivery. Good service!!
