Only negative thing about this is the slight whine it makes. It was noticeable right after hooking it up but over time it became less noticeable. Seems like this isn't unique to this particular balancer or brand though, so I'm not upset about it and knew to expect it when I bought it. As for the balancing performance, it works very well. Within 48 hours of hooking this up my batteries were equalized with the BMS reading within <0.5ah of each other. I actually have two of these running on separate battery arrays and they have both been great. Can't think of any reason to get one of the more expensive balancers.

I have a 48 volt off grid solar setup that I first installed 11 years ago. Without going into the particulars, every thing I have learned about solar; panels, controllers, inverters, wiring and connectors has been by trial and error. I am self taught in AC and DC voltage. As such I know what size wiring and the most efficient way to run wiring and connect circuits. That said, I started out with 6V golf cart batteries wired in series. I have maintained all batteries and have averaged about 5 years of usable life. I bought 4 LifePo batteries last year which I put in place of my 24 golf cart batteries. I then took 12 of the golf cart batteries and set up another system. The 12 batteries range in age from 4 years to 7 years. I read about battery balancers and bought one for the LifePo batteries. The voltage was within specs but one would usually be higher or lower, usually not the same battery. After I installed the battery balancer, it took about 10 days and then, I was happy to find every battery in the string was exactly the same. I figured I might as well try one on my old golf cart batteries. To my amazement, it took about three weeks but the voltage is very close on each 12V string. For 6V golf cart batteries, I consider that outstanding. Just wanted to share my experience with this product. God bless you all.

Got this on Jan 15 2026. Worked great since then till a few days ago when the system shut down low voltage and the balancer was very hot, but but not enough to burn you. Left it to see if it would bring things back in line but it stayed that way for a couple days. Then I swapped it into an identical 48v system with the same exact model balancer that worked fine and it got hot again right away. Put the original back and it's still cool like always. Sent feedback to vendor to see if they will help.

This made the system erratic within a day. However, a fuse was added to each positive line and remained removed most of the time. When the batteries drifted the fuses were installed during battery balancing operation (high voltage) then removed again before voltage started to drop. This provided the function I needed - a top balance every few months, but is much easier than typical disassembly and top balance.

They're easy to use, and they give significantly longer functional lifespan to 48v batteries built out of smaller 12v batteries. On golf cart conversions, these nearly double the range. They encourage even loading of the smaller batteries, and extend their lifespan significantly. They also make it much easier to wake the batteries back up if the BMS disables them due to over-charging; you can use a standard booster box to wake up one 12v battery, and the BMS tries to balance all 4, meaning they all wake up without having to jump each battery separately. They do get a little warm during extended use, but they don't heat up at all when balancing my solar batteries.

This product works quite well and does what it should. I have it wired to two 48v battery banks connected in parallel. Each bank consists of 4 100ah 12v solar agm batteries in series. All 8 batteries within .1 volts of each other after 12hrs. There are only two downsides that I noticed. No. 1 - The plastic back that the equalizer snaps onto is quite cheap and fragile. One of the tabs broke off so it doesn't hold very well. Be careful when installing! No.2 - the equalizer does make a slight high whine but this is a minor issue for me and doesn't affect its operation or cause me any annoyance. Overall this is a great product so far. I would definitely recommend

A must have if you have multiple batteries in your golf cart. It runs so much better now!

My DIY 48v battery bank, made of 4 sets of 4 12v batteries in parallel, ran for several months, without any balancing of the 12v banks. The Mr. Power device works and began balancing my batteries at 5amp (now after 10 hours 1 amp). Almost immediately, my bank began producing current at low voltages when it could not before and after 10 hours of balancing, the overall capacity of the bank also has also improved, based on data from my Victron shunt. For my application I needed to extend the leads with more 16 gauge, adding 8ft to each lead, but that did not seem to hamper the device. In my case I think it was worth the price! By the way, I have heard no squealing from the device yet...
