Works but app should be better
I got tired of waiting for the Wimoto CLI001 Climate Control Sensor (it's over a year since I saw their Kickstarter) so I thought I'd try this one. It works. I’m getting 20 or 30 feet range through a wall/sliding-glass-door so I can get the outside temperature, which is what I was after. Unfortunately, it reads about 4dF low and the app doesn’t seem to have any calibration mechanism, but that’s okay, I can do the arithmetic in my head.I got the sensorbug just for temperature, but for fun I checked out the other sensors. The menu system is kind of weird. The ribbon at the bottom shows Temperature, Light, and Garage, but when clicked Garage, I got a second ribbon that gets to the other sensors. Whichever one I choose takes the place of Garage on the primary ribbon. Originally the summary screens that lists all of your sensorbugs showed only the temperature, but once I used the light meter and anything on the other ribbon, now the summary screen shows the values for all three sensors: temperature, light, and whatever third sensor is shown on the primary ribbon selection.Anyways … The light sensor responds, it’s about 30 lux for room light and it went to about 300 lux for my iPhone flash. Vibration has X, Y, an Z bars and they respond when I shake or vibrate the sensor. Garage is kind of clever, it is actually an orientation sensor, showing the door open or closed based on whether the sensorbug is horizontal or vertical. Glass Break I don’t quite get; it seems to be like Vibration except there is only one bar that seems to cover all axes, and the broken window icon goes red if I strike the sensorbug sharply. But the red doesn’t latch up; I guess the idea is to use the alerts feature, which I haven’t explored. The last sensor, vermin alert, appears to be orientation, the same as Garage Door; I guess the idea is to stick the sensorbug to the door of your humane-type mousetrap. If they would just add calibration and logging to the app, or open up the interface so some hacker like me could write a better app, I would upgrade my rating to 5 stars. I still hope Wimoto comes through because their app looks great and their sensor package is nicer, but of course it will be temperature only (though they plan to make other sensors too).

Cool little gadget
Cool little gadget. Nice user friendly sensor. I put mine on my garage door. From my iPhone, if I'm inside the house, I can see if the garage door is open or closed, what the temperature is, and what the lighting is. Very simple to use.

Bought looking for long range, disappointed.
The range was quite small, perhaps 8 feet. The buttons were also quite difficult to use, requiring quite a bit of force.

Works, but not all that impressed
I purchased two of these. One worked; one did not. The defective one was easily returned and refund was received.
