PERFECT
At a 150 lumens the 'NightShocker' is really BLINDINGLY bright. I own several other taillights and front lights from Metroflash, Planet Bike and Cateye. This one has easily and instantly become my go-to light for my daily and nightly commute. Besides for its extreme brightness, this feels REALLY sturdy; not cheap or plasticy in the least bit. The fact that it is not only USB rechargeable but can be plugged directly into my PC for charging is also a huge plus. Let's face it, the USB cable is another thing for me to remember in the morning so it's awesome that this one doesn't require the cable. Mounting and removing this is also a breeze. I choose to remove my bike lights every time I leave my bike unattended as it takes only a few seconds and ends up saving you money. This Nightshocker really is a steal at under $40 bucks, and by steal I also mean that people may want to steal it so keep an eye out and stay safe :-)

Long term reliability is questionable.
Bought 3. 1 quit working at 9 months. We are road cyclists and I recharge once a week.

Nice product, need better customer service
This is a nice little light--compact, not very heavy, bright enough, rechargeable. I use it mostly to be seen, vs. to light up the road, so use it on flash mode. I can see the reflection of the light in a window a couple of hundred yards away, and on street signs at least a hundred yards away. The light lasts at least 2-3 hours on flash mode; that's as long as I have used it before recharging. I haven't used it enough to learn how the battery lasts in multiple charge cycles.I rated this a 4, not 5, because the rubber cap covering the power switch and USB connector came off during a ride, and MetroFlash couldn't sell me (let alone give me) a replacement. Without a cap, it is difficult to operate the switch and it will be susceptible to water.

Does NOT include helmet mount despite description
Brightness isn't bad. I use it for trail riding and I need two to provide enough light. HUGE downside to this product is that it DOES NOT come with the helmet mount shown in the picture. This was one of the main reasons I purchased the light was to mount one on my handlebars and one on my helmet. I purchased two lights and neither one had a helmet mount. Would have given the product 4 stars but simply unacceptable that it doesn't include a piece specified in the description.

The rubber end cover comes off!
I really like the light, but the rubber end comes off. If you just ride with it, IT WILL EVENTUALLY COME OFF. I have 2 of these, and both of them have lost the rubber caps on the end.Without the cover, the button is really hard to press because it's a shallow inset button. It is also open to water damage, since there is exposed circuit board outside the metal case.

It doesn't feel cheap like some other products at the same price
Bright little lamp. It doesn't feel cheap like some other products at the same price. I kinda wish the mount would screw on though; it just has a rubber strap which is quickly remove able though. I already dropped it and it still works like a charm. The battery seems to last at least 5 hours on low before it needs recharging. No need to keep track of a usb wire for recharging as the unit plugs in directly. Doubles as a flashlight and fits easily in your pocket. Quality headlight overall.

Good when it worked
Used it through 3 full charges and now it doesn't turn on at all.

It is easy to tilt up and down while on the bike ...
Very powerful. This thing will light up the road and make biking at night a lot safer. It is easy to tilt up and down while on the bike to get the light exactly where you want it. Two problems (1) the back end has the usb connect and it has a thin plastic cover. The cover is held on by friction and so it is easy for it to get knocked off (lost). It would be better if there was a more secure attachment. If you lose the cover it will still work although the on/off button will be difficult to use. When you need to charge the light the cover comes off completely and so you will need to keep track of it then too. The second problem is that the mount (a rubber band thingy) does not stay on the handlebars or the light if you take the light off. Thus, if you remove the light you will need to store the mount somewhere. So, you really have three pieces to keep track of for this light (cap, mount, light) and if you are inclined to lose small things this might not be the right item for you.
