Great taste and loads of energy
I purchased this product to take on an upcoming cruise since getting my morning and afternoon energy drinks is hard when away from home. I chose the chocolate version based on reading other reviews and my personal taste. The seller contacted me, soon after delivery, to see how satisfied I was with the flavor, and when I told them I hadn't tried them yet since I was saving them to take on a trip, they offered to provide me with free samples of various flavors if I would review them. I accepted and received the samples and began trying them out.I found the wintergreen, peppermint, and Cinnamon flavors to be very strong and not particularly to my taste, but that is generally in line with my taste in general - those not being flavors I generally go for. If you are a fan of those flavors, you will likely appreciate them more than I did. Fair warning, they are NOT subtle, but the flavors are true.I found the chocolate flavor to be extremely nice. When it says chocolate mint, the emphasis should be on the mint, rather than on the chocolate. These are, after all, breath mints, not candies. But the chocolate flavor, in my opinion, smooths out the mint very well, which did not occur with the other flavors. I wouldn't use them to try to satisfy a chocolate craving. After all, these are not Girl Scout mint chocolate cookies, but as a breath mint, they are quite tasty and enjoyable. When it comes to mint, I am pretty much a spearmint person. For example, if I chew mint gum, it will always be spearmint. So the samples of spearmint suited me much better. They are pretty intense, so I likely wouldn't use them as often as I would the chocolate, which seem much smoother. But if I were looking to freshen my mouth AND boost my energy level, these would be a great choice. I will undoubtedly use them all, but I am quite certain that I will go through the chocolate ones much faster. The energy provided by all flavors seems to be quite good. So, far, over a few days, I have taken 3 per day, over the course of a couple of hours, when I was nodding off and wanted to remain alert. The boost seems quite smooth and not at all gittery. I like the fact that I can take them individually, over a period of time, and stop when the right level of energy boost is reached. The fact that you can put them under your tongue for more rapid dissolve and absorption, while still getting a rush of flavor, is also appreciated.Overall, I expect these to be quite a boon on my cruise. I will update my review once I have more long term results. But it appears that I made the right choice. Kudos to other reviewers and thanks to the seller for the free samples.UPDATE:Well, they worked great for all sorts of trips. They work so well that I purchased the 1/2 pound bag to refill the cute containers they originally came in. The containers are convenient for travel and easy to refill (and much cheaper) to buy in bulk. I especially like how easy it is to pack these on a trip and use them anytime anywhere since they are so small and discrete.

"Bitter" energy mints... (Update: Chocolate Mint is not)
I really wanted to like these, as I cannot drink coffee, but do use other caffeine containing products to help with that "afternoon" slump. I have been using timed-release iSatori Energize but it has become just too expensive, so I hoped this would be an alternative. But the taste of the Wintergreen variety was quite bitter. (Years ago, I used to be able to get "Vojo" mints which tasted great and gave a quick source of caffeine that you could carry in your pocket or purse. I had hoped these would be similar.) In fairness, the product does give a jitter-free energy lift from the 40 mg of caffeine, in that regard it does do what one would expect. But the bitter flavor (presumably from the caffeine) permeates and makes it hard to get all the way through the mint. I shared some with my co-worker, who also looks for a sugar-free alternative to the mega-coffee drinks, and she had the same reaction. She chose to swallow hers with water, just to get the caffeine without having to taste it anymore. I really am disappointed.....I was so excited to find this product, but it was just too much of a bitter pill. Maybe some of the other flavors are not as bitter?? I don't know if I would want to spend more $ to find out.UPDATE: The folks (Bryan and Jacob) at Viter Energy are to be commended for good, old fashion customer service. Upon hearing my experience with their Wintergreen flavor, they offered to send me a sample of their other flavors in the hopes that I would find one I would like. I did. The Chocolate Mint does not have the bitter undertone that the wintergreen has and the energy boost is good. The Cinnamon is very strong, but also not bitter. The Peppermint and Spearmint are strong mint flavors, with a bit of that bitter undertone, so some people may like them, but just not for me. My co-worker and I have decided that our "afternoon slump" solution will be our Viter Energy Chocolate Mints!

Tastes Great! Don't Eat Too Many Though (For Sensitive Tummies)
I really enjoy the taste. I think the breath mint aspect of this product works well. I feel my breath is fresher and it last a while. The taste is a little bit biter compared to other mints, but I don't mind that at all. Still tastes good to me.I don't find that I get a "jolt" of energy from the mints. Though, I think I get a little bit more alert, it's hard to tell. I tried eating different amounts including 1 at time up to 4 at one time. When I eat 2–4 mints, I have to race to the bathroom and it does upset my tummy. I should mention that my digestive system is very sensitive, so this might not be the case for everyone. If I have too many mints, I also feel a bit agitated and anxious. So basically, don't eat a bunch at one time if you have a sensitive system like me. But 1 mint might not give you an energetic feeling either.

Mixed reviews
We had mixed reviews among the family. I personally found the flavour very bitter. It almost has an after-taste of a medicine. My mum and partner told me they don't mind the taste and have been taking them multiple times a day. But both don't have sleep issues - not sure good or bad?Not my personal favourite but would order again.

Strong taste and snaplock bag would not close
As others have mentioned, these mints do have a strong and slightly unexpected flavor. I woulnd't describe it as a refreshing mint taste / flavor. The snaplock bag they come in too wouldn't close again once opened. Have had to transfer them all into a separate container.
