ActivaModel 'n Mold Sculpting Sand, 3 lbs., Natural White

For anyone looking to buy this and confused as i was, this is "moon sand", not kinetic sand. It is great for molding with little tools and making shapes, and the shape tends to stay. Kinetic sand on the other hand falls apart, just slowly. This stuff has a chemical that's a little stickier, and as such you'll get some stuck to your fingers and have to wipe it off, but considering it can be used to mold shapes that stay instead of slowly falling apart, I think it's positives outweigh that negative. It is also quite white. The image with the review is this sand (moon sand) on left, and kinetic sand on right. kinetic sand fell apart after 1 minute and fell over. this is still standing after 5 minutes and counting without crumbling.

The quality is very good which is the only way I can see charging this much for such a small amount of sand.

I had looked forward to this. When it came we opened it prior to the child's arrival to check it out. Good thing because we thought it was sticky and messy. It was not fun to play with. We actually discarded the product.

This sand is only good for molding. It is far from being anything like real sand...very clumpy and kind of wet. The color is gray rather than white. It was a waste of money.

My nephew played for hours in this! Super fun for young children.

This is a really great product for elderly dementia patients. Very engaging, easy to set-up and clean-up. My Dad was an architect, and was completely absorbed in forming castles and buildings. Because this is an early life activity, it makes sense to dementia patients.
