What a smart and great flash light!
This flash light is built nicely and uses no battery's what a deal even though it is from china where do you think the US gets them from? it is built durable and works like a charm bought 2 for less than 6bucks and free shipping their very bright and about 10 squeezes of the handel makes the light last for about 30 minutes the directions were not very good but it's not hard to figure out I do reckomend this flash light to any one no more worrying about battery's when you need a good bright flash light it is broad not skinny and round and has a great feel to it when holding it strong plastic body just built good you wont be sorry you get it.

Great light!
This hand powered flashlight is great. We used them during several power outages and were easy to use. With a few cranks the light lasted for about an hour and were still on when the light came back on. I gave one to my two year old and she used it. She dropped it a few times and it did not break. The plastic is a not real strong though so I'm sure over time it could break. I ordered several of them just incase that happpend. My family uses several other types of lights but these are nice cause you can put it in your pocket and it doesn't hurt to crank. Only a couple cranks is all you need.

Cannot go wrong
I recommend this flashlight for everybody on a budget and all preppers.1st this was cheap, less than $5.00 and shipping was free, and you didn't have to spend $25.00 for the free shipping. It requires no batteries, no worrying if the battery will die out, and it is not solar powered, no wondering if you got it charged enough to last the night. It is hand cranked, when the light gets weak, just cranked it up again, and again, and again. It is light and compact and the light strength is strong.I would not drop it on anything hard, it is a quality product for the price, but like everything if you trash it around it will break, treat it with care and respect, it will get the job done. It is not the Porsche of flashlights, it is like a Geo Metro 60mpg and trouble free. Nobody likes them, but when the price of gas goes high, their value shines, ditto this light, when the shtf and there is no batteries to be had, and the sun don't shine, this light should. Also because it doesn't use batteries, you don't have to worry about acid leaks.5 stars.

Appears to work pretty well
I got the flashlight and it worked great for about 2 weeks. Then after 2 weeks, it just stopped working. I contacted the seller, and when the seller asked if I wanted another flashlight, I said, "Yes," and received a new flashlight. I've had it now for several weeks and it works just fine! Perhaps my first flashlight was a lemon.

Mostly plastic parts
They seem to work fine and are fairly bright, but the juries out because everything is plastic; the lock the trigger everything..

High five for capitalism!
I just got 3 of these that I ordered on May 29, shipped May 31, received June 7. So even though it comes from China (and I assume made in China like everything else) they ship it by United States postal service by air. I'm giving it 5 stars because a) their customer service is first class. I had some doubts because Amazon says it takes more than a month for delivery, so I emailed them and was reassured by Lin that it will arrive within 10 days. I might also add that her English is excellent; b) there was a slip asking for a 5-star feedback and to contact them directly if there is a problem, so obviously they stand by their product and service and will do whatever it takes to keep customers happy; c) 3 of these flashlights for less than $12 with free shipping is a price point that can't be beat (I checked around); d)the product itself - I don't know how long it will last and I can only give my first impressions. It feels a bit cheap and you need to handle with care, but for such a tiny weightless thing I was amazed by the amount of light it gives out. To sum up, I think the Chinese are beating Americans at their own game (capitalism, free market pricing based on supply and demand) though it will take a few more years to iron out "quality" issues. That said, I can't complain about "value" for what I paid.

Works, but not very bright
Although this light lets me see enough to not trip over things in my house, it is nearly useless outside. I remember it being brighter when I bought it, but it seems to be getting dimmer in the only 6 months I've owned it. I wonder if this is a storage problem? When I crank it, it lights up brighter than when I turn it on. It sometimes catches when I try to crank it, making me think the gears are starting to wear already and will soon break. It's probably worth it to spend a little extra money to get something of better quality.

Good to have....
People too often leave their "emergency light" in a drawer filled with batteries until they need it. Years go by then they need it and the batteries are dead. Always good to have a hand powered type light, there are a million choices. This one is really light (backpacking anyone?) comfortable in the hand and puts out a good amount of light. One of these or this type should be in your car, your house etc. At around 5-7 bucks you can buy more inexpensive ones of these ($1.99) but some of those I have bought have "longevity issues" This is a good compromise between price and quality.

A must have for every emergency bag/kit.
This little flashlight is great. It never needs batteries, because your hand is the battery. No more dead batteries, or leaked batteries ruining your flashlight. It may not be the most powerful thing, as it's pretty mediocre as far as brightness goes, with no adjustability. But It's always there when you need it most in times of urgency, such as blackouts. I'll keep this one ready within arms reach at home for everyday use; specifically for blackouts and bumps in the night, but I'll likely buy a couple more: one for the bug-out bag, and another for my emergency kit; such as floods/tornadoes/hurricanes/earthquakes...etc.Some nitpicks I have: it came with the surface on the metal cross part in the wheel looking slightly rusted, which is visible through the translucent black plastic. Doesn't affect it's usability, but I wonder about longevity. And also the copper wire connecting it's internals is super thin and cheap looking, even thinner than a strand of hair...not very confidence boosting. Plus, it's NOT waterproof either, so there's that issue too. It's not perfect, but it gets the job done.

Great little flashlight
This is a small, purse size flashlight that produces a good light source. The squeeze handle is not hard to compress, making it easy to recharge. Hung this from the top of a tent for a couple of hours without needed to recharge. Would recommend and will buy again.
