good product
this keeps vegetables crisp and longer that just putting them in the drawer. My neighbors even use this.

The Salad Sac is a good space saver
I got the Salad Sac because I was tired of getting out the salad spinner and it took up too much room in the fridge. With the Salad Sac, you just wash off your lettuce, throw it in the bag and just pat it a little to get out some of the water. You can also use it for other vegetables as well. While it takes up less room than a salad spinner, it really doesn't work any better than one. It's not bad, but you do still have to use the salad within about four days or it will start to wilt.Overall, it's a pretty good product and I have started to eat more salads, but salad won't last forever in it.

Took Awhile To Figure Out The Best Way To Use
At first I was going to review this saying that it's a piece of junk, don't bother. It SEEMED like I got identical results just carefully keeping salad in a container with dry paper towels. But now I know better. This thing works great, BUT YOU MUST KEEP IT WET/DAMP. I just tossed out my second batch of uneaten salad because it was all limp, and then I realized the bag had dried out.Not their fault: they do tell you in the instructions to keep it damp. I just didn't realize it could dry out so quickly in the 'fridge. From my limited tests with this, here's what I have to say about using it:(1) Don't listen to them about putting your salad in wet. It will get all slimy and gross (like lettuce can do) inside the bag, even following their directions. Instead, put your lettuce in a salad spinner like normal.(2) Get the bag wet before using it. If you have to, wring it out so that it's not WET-wet, just damp. Then put your salad-spinner lettuce inside.(3) Take the bag out every day, even if not having salad, to toss the lettuce around inside. If the bag isn't REALLY DAMP, get it wet again (I'll probably use a spray bottle or the spray hose attachment on my sink to do this). This may SOUND like a lot of work, but really, it doesn't feel like it to me (the ultimate lazy "cook"). It's worth it to have not-limp-and-not-slimy salad for up to a week. I'm here to buy another one. That says something, from someone who was about to trash its reputation.

Not impressed
I don't find it is very effective. I live in South America and buy produce at local markets. It is fresh and unprocessed. The bag has not made a big difference in keeping things fresh.

This works wonders for me
Truly impressed at how well this works. I'm on a keto diet and have spinach salads almost every day. as-packaged spinach won't last a week without getting limp (in the best case) or becoming soft slimy sludge (in the worst case). Using this bag, fresh spinach keeps fresh for over one week. Eventually some leaves do get mushy, but I just throw those away and the remaining leaves are still crisp!IMPORTANT -- you must keep the bag moist, it's not enough just to keep it cool in the fridge. I forgot to "water" it and the spinach got limp and slimy just like plastic bags. I just sprinkle 1/4 cup of water on the top of the bag each day, and that does the trick. Doesn't need to be dripping, just keep it moist.

Amazing
This is not to replace a salad spinner, folks. This is to keep lettuce fresh. Rinse your lettuce, put it, soaking wet, directly into the salad sac, and voila!...lettuce stays fresh and crisp for days and days and days. A wonderful product.

Works great!
My salad spinner is in storage, and so I ordered the salad sac based on the good reviews, reasonable cost, and light weight. It works great. I buy a head a of lettuce, rinse each leaf well and tear into bite-sized pieces, shake off, and put in the bag. Much easier to keep salad easily and inexpensively available than the pre-washed bagged salads.Four stars instead of five because I really DO miss my salad spinner -- easy to glance in the fridge and see how much is left, as opposed to the opaque bag. Also it is a little less absorbent than I expected -- be sure to shake off the washed lettuce well! But it does keep the salad fresh and crispy.

Very helpful product for fresh produce
I love these salad sacs and have four of them. I fix myself a chef salad everyday with a lot of different vegetables. I didn't start doing that until after i discovered these sacs and cannot imagine how i'd manage to keep all the veggies fresh without a sac. I can easily keep veggies a week and just have to remember to rinse everything off from time to time so as to keep the sac moist. If you care about fresh vegetables and don't eat them the same day you buy them, you will appreciate having these sacs. Just toss in the washer and dryer and they're ready to use again. Excellent product for me!!
