Not perfect, but pretty good for the price.
The measurements given by the vendor are roughly accurate. I measured 29.9mm wide for the brush slot and 13.5mm for the razor slot. the overall height is about 5.7 inches, and from the hanger slots to the bottom is 5.1 inches. It seems sturdy, comes assembled, and it looks like it's a press fit assembly, not screwed together. You can't take it apart if you want to travel with it.The material appears to be stainless steel (I'm no metallurgist but I see nothing that would make me doubt it) with chrome plating. There is nothing on the bottom to keep from scratching your counter, but the surface isn't rough. If you're worried about it, you can pick up some felt dots at your local craft store an place about 3 of them around the rim.I chose this one because the brush width was wider than most, but my brush handle is 32mm wide, so I have to hang it with the entire handle above the hook. But that's my problem and not the fault of the stand.I deducted a star because it lacked any felt on the bottom of the base, and because it couldn't be disassembled. If those factors aren't important to you, you should be quite happy with this stand.

and I didn't have a nice place to hang it
I bought this after getting a Whipped Dog 30mm Silver Tip brush, and I didn't have a nice place to hang it. I have been using the plastic stand my Parker brush came with, but I don't like the fact that in order to slide the brush (30mm) into position, it pinches the base of the brush. Once on the stand, it does not pinch the brush in any way though.I bought this stand based on recommendation for a forum as a potential solution. Regretablly, the opening for the brush is about 2mm too small. When I placed the brush on the stand, it would pinch the brush (similar to Geofatboy's style of under nose application). The other thing i didn't like, was how thin it really was. I originally purchased this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KO46CTA/ref=od_aui_detailpages01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 when I started WS, but it's too small for the 30mm brush. On the plus side, it does hold the Parker brush (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004U6P0NW/ref=od_aui_detailpages01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) from the metal portion of the handle perfectly.I am returning as it didn't meet my requirements, but it's not a terrible stand overall.

Good stand for the money AND holds a Semogue 1305 by the handle!
I like the finish of this stand and the fact that it can hold my Semogue 1305 brush. The brush handle was a bit too wide for my previous holder. The base of the stand is small, but heavy, so no worries about it tipping over. I took a star off because the razor holder arms are just wide enough to keep my Merkur 1904 razor (a 3-piece razor) from laying flat. This is due to the fact that the top plate has the two "knobs" that go into the bottom plate to hold the razor blade in place. If the arms were just a bit narrower, that would allow the razor to sit flat and not lean to one side or the other. Overall though, it's a great stand and looks very nice holding all my gear.

Great stand. Great price.
Very solid brush/razor stand. Appears to be all stainless steel. Using a Perfecto brush and the stand holds the brush by the handle. You do not have to "choke up" to the bristles. And in case anyone is wondering, YES it does have the Orpheus name and logo on the stand as it appears in the pictures. Turn it to the back and you don't even notice it if it bothers you. At this price, it shouldn't.ONE critique about the stand is that it doesn't have those angled tips at the end of the razor side as the picture suggests. It's completely flat so there is nothing keeping your razor on the stand. I've had my razor slide off in the middle of the night. The brush side has them though. Knocking it one star for not being the same as the picture suggests.

Eh...
For the price, it will do the trick (I have an Edwin Jagger DE89 and a badger brush and it holds them pretty well). Another reviewer said that the holders were completely flat and, honestly, they almost are (they have an ever-so-SLIGHT bend). The packaging for the stand was damaged even before being placed into another bag, which was put into another box with several other items (there wasn't the slightest blemish on any of the other items, that's how I know!), but luckily any scratches were on the bottom of the holder and unnoticeable. Bottom line: it'll work OK.

Orpheus
years ago i had bought a big 'ole badger shaving brush ( it's easier and faster to get a large amount of lather fast with a big brush than with a small one) and i knew the handle wouldn't fit into the prong openings of several of the brush stands on amazon...the smallest diameter along the length of the brush handle is 1 1/8 inches, and this fits easily into the 1 3/16 inch Orpheus prong opening...the brush slips down a bit and is held nicely in place by the flared 1 1/4 "knob" at the very end of the brush HANDLE.( i don't have to compress the BRISTLES to force it to fit into a prong space too narrow to hang it properly, by its solid handle)...it really looks like the stand was custom made for my "fat" brush !..( my edwin jagger razor also fits nicely into IT'S prongs on the opposite side of the stand !)...secondly, the weight of the base is totally adequate to hold the stand and hanging brush and razor upright and perfectly stable on the countertop...the finish is gleaming and elegant, too !...i could not be more pleased so far, and i feel that i got a very good deal with my new Orpheus on Amazon !...

Holds Merkur Futur and larger brushes too :)
Very pleased with the Orpheus Stand and its ability to handle razor and brush widths that others cannot. The fit and finish is also excellent as is the weighted base, that ensures the stability of the stand despite the smaller footprint than another similar stand design offered on Amazon. The dimensions of the Merkur Futur handle, for example, will not fit the other stand, while it does the Orpheus. Similarly, my Omega Silver Tip Badger (Mod 6212) will not fit at the handle, but on the Orpheus it does, rather than having to position it on the knot. The images tell the story. A solid attractive stand at a good value for money. The Orpheus also comes nicely packed in a gift box :) I definitely recommend and would buy again.
