Overall, I’m really happy with these shades, despite the fact that they were difficult for me to install by myself. My arms are sore, and it took me about two hours to align a pair for my sliding glass door. Even with all that work, they still look a little mismatched (see picture). I would highly recommend asking someone for help, and get the right tools handy before you begin. I didn’t have a stud finder, but was able to use a strong magnet to find a sturdy place to screw in brackets. I would have given this product a full five stars if they had just included a guide for where to screw the holes to make sure they are even, so I didn’t have to do extra measuring, then re-measuring, etc. Most new items these days with hanging hardware include this (it’s sort of like a stencil). Compared to other listings for similar products, this is a good bargain. I’m especially glad that they look child-safe, and my crazy kids won’t be able to rip them down like they have my last 2 sets of flimsy curtain rods.

I gave these as a gift, two broke within the warranty period and were replaced.

We bought these for our daughter. They were very affordable and we put them on every window in the house. They look great inside and from the outside also. They are very easy to raise and lower without pull strings. They darken the bedrooms for sleeping also.

I wanted these shades to use when the sun was shining in the window. They work great!
