Its 22in x 60in x 3/8in thick, 100% wool and American made! Use this mat to press all your quilting, home dรฉcor, embroidery and sewing projects. You Need One, PERIOD!
Quilters, you need to get one of these! I have four IKEA Kallax 4x1 units that set on their sides, with 3 stacked together and I cut one down and ran it longways on one end to create a rectangle that is 46" x 73". I put a piece of plexiglass on top and place my cutting mats on that. I made a 24" x 60" ironing board with a piece of 1/2" plywood, covering it with aluminum foil, 2 pieces of Warm & Plush batting and then some upholstery fabric, and stapled it down. I nailed it some felted push pins that you use on chair legs and such, which protects my cutting mats from the heat. I put my Wool Monster Mat on this board and there's enough room to put an awesome Rowenta stem iron on the end. Plus, I can store 24 IKEA containers underneath, so it's a win win deal!

The best way to press seams that stay flat & edges that remain sharp.
As someone who sews clothes, doll clothes, home dec, quilts, etc, Iโve tried many surfaces such as padded, hardwood, unpadded fabric and this wool pad is now the only one I want to use. The price was a hard swallow. So much so that the ladies at my favorite quilt shop suggested I check out horse blankets. None would fit the Big Board and they were close to the same price. So I bought this just in time to make 37โ of binding for my quilt. Iโm using the process of sewing on one side, folding it over and hand sewing the other side. I pressed it on my Big Board with this wool pressing mat, steam, and a Tailors Clapper. Even with all the handling, my pressed edge is still sharp.

Love this!
I ordered this full length ironing board cover and love ironing on it. I did cover it with light weight fabric just to protect the surface from sprays and mishaps but I find things iron more smoothly and I don't always have to flip the fabric to get the crispness I want. Also, it was longer then my board so I cut the excess off (using my 60mm rotary cutter) and can use that as a portable pad when I need one. It is 3/8" thick, so it feels substantial. I am very happy with this purchase.

Smells like a barnyard.
The size is great, function is great, but it smells like a barnyard and when I steam press my quilt fabric and quilt tops the smell transfers to the fabric. I walk in the door and I can smell it after a day of quilting.

If you are a quilter, it will improve your efforts.
I always wondered what the big deal was about wool mats for quilting..... then I put this mat on my big ironing board and was sold. Great for table cloths too.

Bought this to put on a ironing table I'm making for my sewing room which isn't finished yet. I've wanted one for years but waited until I found a really big one. Can't wait to get this set up. It's a really good quality and I know I'll get yers of use.Thank you.
