Parker Ingenuity 5th Technology Pen, Medium Point with Black Ink Refill 1931460 - Deluxe Blue Violet

This is a lovely looking and heavy feeling pen, but it is just a very posh fibre-tip pen in a luxury box. What isn’t immediately apparent is that it doesn’t write ‘out of the box’ and you have to swap the dummy refill for the hidden refill, and there are no instructions explaining this or how to do it. I am a professional writer and it even had me foxed for a few seconds! Another thing to watch out for is the wide variation on price, depending on the seller. This seller is the cheapest I found, but it pays to shop around. Teachers and professionals might find a red or green refill useful, but you can’t seem to find these less popular options.

This is undoubtedly a beautiful pen - stylishly packaged, it feels perfect in the hand, and it writes wonderfully in all conditions. It looks like a fountain pen, but actually uses a refill cartridge which pokes a fibre tip through the engraved nib. The result is a very consistent line, but without quite the flair that a fountain pen produces on the page. It's clearly aimed at the luxury market - I couldn't personally justify spending over £200 on something like this, when my Fisher Space Pen gives me results just as good for 1/10th of the price - but if money is not an object, then this really is a lovely pen.

If you like a heavy pen, then this is for you. Feels slightly imbalanced when writing with the cap placed on. Refils are pricey, and don't last long if writing all day! Quality is great and looks the part, but not for me. Returning to fountain pen and gel inks.

BUEN FUNCIONAMIENTO

Ich habe den Parker Ingenuity-Tintenschreiber "Deluxe" in blauviolettem Aluminium vor einige Zeit zum Testen erhalten und dies ausgiebig getan. Die erste Freude damit erlebt man bereits beim Auspacken des guten Stücks, denn an der Verpackung hat Parker nun wirklich nicht gespart. Der Tintenschreiber ist hochwertig verarbeitet, liegt gut in der Hand und sieht in der Farbe blauviolette sehr edel aus. Die ersten Schreibversuche waren etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig aber nach einiger Zeit konnte ich flüssig und sauber damit schreiben. In anderen Rezensionen habe ich wahrgenommen, dass Experten, die den Ingenuity mit anderen hochwertigen Stiften vergleichen, die verwendete 5TH-Technologie teilweise kritischer sehen. Meine persönlichen Erfahrungen waren, wie bereits geschrieben, überwiegend positiver Natur. Was mich aber stutzig macht, ist der Preis, der früher mal bei knapp unter 200 Euro lag und mittlerweile nur noch bei rund 60. Ein so starker Preisverfall ist wohl eher kein gutes Zeichen. Nichtsdestotrotz gefällt der Tintenschreiber mir persönlich weiterhin gut und ist für den nun aufgerufenen Preis wohl auch ein Schnäppchen.

Le pongo una estrella por poner algo. Este artículo era para un regalo muy especial. Cuando se abrió y se sacó de su estuche origunal no escribía, claro no traía punta de la tinta ni recambio siquiera. Vamos quedé fatal. Esta Praker 5th con lo que cuesta podría venir con un recambio de punta por lo menos, no?
