direct replacement for Halogen bulb
I replaced a burnt out 100w halogen bulb with this 7w LED mini Candelabra base LED bulb. It is not quite as bright as 100w halogen bulb. The description states 75-100w replacement but I think it is closer to a 75w replacement if you want the "same" number of lumens which is a measure of brightness. In reading some of the Q's and A's the manufacture stated they were working on a "brighter" one which will be closer to 100w. I would still recommend this one as a replacement. BTW, this is for use in bathroom light fixture above mirror.

Cooled of my 1976 Kenmore sewing machine
I have a 1976 Kenmore Elite sewing machine. With the original bulb, the metal case above the needle gets hot enough to burn your fingers. With the LED replacement, it stays cool. For me it's worth the price to not deal with the heat coming off the bulb.I also prefer the bright white color of these bulbs to the original yellow incandescent, I work with a lot of ultralight ripstops and being able to see the weave better is a definite plus.

AWESOME
I have an old Sears band saw that uses a 25 watt "bayonet" "appliance lamp". It gave up the ghost and I needed to replace it. With fingers crossed, I ordered these.They came quickly ... two days from order to delivery. They are individually boxed and appear to be well built.I just put one in to my ancient band saw. It fits perfectly. I then turned my machine on and the bulb... wow ... it is bright. Much better than the old one. I love it. Hopefully I won't miss a cut in the future. If I do, it is definitely NOT the fault of this bulb, which is wonderfully bright.

Bulbs are in my main room high ceiling fan
75watt equivalent not 100watt, which I was expecting. Used latest Lutron dimmer with successful results. My ceiling fan has 3 lower 75watt equiv bulbs and 4 upper 50watt equiv bulbs all at 6000k daylight. Lutrin dimmer controls 50% to 100% of light strength, which is all I need. My main room lighting goes from subtle to well lit.

Great replacement from an incandescent
Fantastic so far! Being that Ive only just received and installed one bulb I don’t know the longevity it yet. However it’s fits a ceiling fan in my home that once had an incandescent bulb that blew once a year and was always extremely hot. This light is bright, dims as stated and works great.

Bulbs working fine
In bathroom I replaced 6 bulbs total from 75 watt halogen fixtures to these. They screwed in fine, all lit up, and now I am saving money.To me the brightness is a slightly less than 75 watts but going from 450 watts total to about 42 watts is something I can live with.Someone is always in the bathroom.
