FIT:For years I used a version of this product (different brand, same holster) for my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in its OtterBox Defender case. Albeit snug, it was a good fit. The fit is not @ all snug w/ this phone/case/holster combo. The phone drops in w/ ease w/out expanding the elastic bands on the sides at all. It is literally a perfect height, width, depth fit.MOUNT:The holster has a metal belt clip (which I never used on the old holster nor do I intend to on the new one. Not secure enough IMO). The holster can be securely mounted/worn on ones belt (via robust nylon fabric loops layered under the metal belt clip) in vertical & horizontal position. I have a leash secured to my Note 9 as well which the holster accommodates. (By inserting the phone "head 1st", placing the charging port (where the leash connects) on the opening end, the leash can remain attached while it's in the holster.)APPEARANCE/DURABILITY/BUILD:The material is rugged & professional in appearance. In my experience w/ the aforementioned previous holster, the belt loops are very strong/will not wear. In all the years I used the older holster, the flap hook & loop closure never wore out nor failed either.IN SUMMARY:I expect this holster will serve just as well if not even better than its predecessor. Perfect fit for my phone

I'm very picky, so you can take this review seriously. I have the Samsung Galaxy A52 with the Otterbox Defender case (VERY freaking big lol). My phone fits securely and does close with extra room, a bit larger than the other one I reviewed (same brand) at the same time. I love the 2 loop and 1 clip options: vertical stationary heavy duty metal belt clip, vertical belt loop, or horizontal belt loop. You are NOT losing your phone using either belt loop and if you do lose your case using the clip, you'll know it.

4 1/2 stars. I do lawn care, leaf and brush removal, etc. for a living, so I needed something fairly rugged that I could count on to not lose my phone when I'm dragging branches, chainsawing trees and dumping truckloads of leaves. I have a note 4. Last year I had one of those cheap leather clips ons and I lost my phone in a huge leaf pile. Thankfully my daughter randomly called me and I was able to recover it. But this case is pretty rugged compared to other cases that I have had and holds the phone securely on my belt. I can use ear buds while working with no problem, it isn't cumbersome, and isn't bad looking either. It has never given me a cause to complain or worry. The only possible drawback is that the opening is velcro and will likely wear out before the case does. IMO, it would be an even better case with a snap, or something more permanent. That aside, it is the best case for the money if you're looking for durability. I'll buy it again when this one wears out.

Unless the INNER dimensions are 7"(L)*3.75" (W)* 1'' (H)*, the Ultra with protection skin will NOT fit. I had to send a few others (who claimed to fit) back and finally found this one. It's high quality, tough nylon and the clip adds safety . I slip my belt through the belt loops and through the clip (I did buy a larger clip for some of my wider belts as well).

This holster works perfect for holding my Samsung, Galaxy S6 Active, even with a rubberized protective case on it. My phone never falls out, is totally protected and the ability of do a vertical or horizontal belt attachment is great. I don't use the belt clip on feature much but when I have it has worked well.So why the low rating? Since August 2019 I'm now just purchased my THIRD case!! They all suffered the same point of failure. The stitching on the top of the vertical belt loop fails. I'm very hard on cases but other than the stitching failing the holster is is great shape. Folks, if they would just reinforce this stitching this would be a flatout 5 STAR!!Why do I keep buying them? Well for the money they are just the best. My previous holsters had about the same service life but cost almost twice as much. So as they say, It is, what it is!!

I really liked this holder for my Samsung Note 9 in an Otterbox. It gave good clearance when I was moving my elderly Dad, and helping him up. However, it did snag on his wheelchair one day, and a strap came out with the snap intact. The back of the snap pulled through the back material, and the holder went wild, dropping the phone. I've since found a horizontal holder. This would be great if I did not need to help lift Dad.

I bought this belt cell case (for my Note 5 with slim protective cover), replacing the exact same style pouch that wore out after a year of hard use. This one is the XX-large size and is a little loose compared to the really snug fit of the X-large size. I would guess that an Otterbox would be snug in this one. The wear and tear I gave to my old one included everyday use doing lawn work, painting, and crawling under porch decks dragging the pouch on the ground which eventually starting ripping the thread on the support straps, and the Velcro becoming clogged with grass etc. Because of all the abuse I put this pouch through, I felt very comfortable getting it again. The cell phone never got abused while in the pouch.
