No problems encountered with this toner cartridge, worked perfectly in my printer, I had purchased a re-cycled cartridge that was much cheaper but did not work. Probably better to stick with the "genuine" parts even if they are more expensive.

The real cost of these printers is the inks, not the machine. I tried cutting corners with a bandit black toner and found it did not work reliably. Paying half as much again for the Brother stuff gave me pages I could read again. So they weren't kidding me, after all. How could I be so suspicious?

Tried other cheaper products without success. The Brother cartridges may be more expensive, but they are hassle free and that ends up saving me time and trouble.

I've tried cheap OEM alternatives - this just works. Quality. And they take the old ones back for recycling. What more can I say?
