Timberland PROMen's Pit Boss 6 Inch Soft Toe Industrial Work Boot

Size 15 - Brown.In light of the negative reviews about ‘not holding up long’ and ‘not being water resistant’ – I have had my boots for 6 months and they look better than when I first took them out of the box. I wore them throughout the all-day Land Rover Kentucky Cross Country Horse Event. It rained or drizzled throughout but these boots kept my socks and feet warm and dry. I wore these going through wet caves, walking across acres of wet grass, and going through mountain forests after it rained and never had any problem with any dampness. As for holding up: I live in a mountainous area with 10 acres of uneven terrain and need boots with good ankle support, so I wear these any time I go out. I have never had a pair of boots with better ankle support, that have been more comfortable, or held up nearly as well as these.THE KEY IS HARD WAX SHOE POLISH. The boots have ‘rough leather’ in the toes and the rest look like genuine shiny leather. Rough leather is far more susceptible to getting torn up. Hard wax shoe polish is mainly clay and carnauba wax, where the clay fills in and coats the leather – the wax moisturizes the inner leather to keep it soft and supple and protects it from getting damaged by making a rock-hard outer shell. I have dug up hundreds of heavy rocks in the fields, gone through forest to chainsaw and trim trees, and done all kinds of activities that would tear boots up but have only scuffed the polished layer and never done any damage to the leather or boot. Once the boots have that shiny outer shell it only takes a few minutes to fill in the scuff marks and have them looking brand new. The pictures are how the look after 6 months and I am confident they will look like this for at least another year.

This is my 3rd order of the Pit Boss. This boot is comfortable and durable, there’s minimal break in period. It’s good to know that there are still companies out there making honest products. 5*

I have purchased these about four times over the last few years. My man is extremely hard on work boots and these have lasted him longer than any other. Great seller. Never disappointed.

They're overall better than the Ever Boots Tank boots I usually buy. I replaced those every 6 months or so. These feel stronger and definitely more supportive on the sides and around the ankle. BUT... The tongue is terrible. The Ever Boots tongue is soft and very comfortable. The Timberland boots tongue is very thin and hard. It digs into the front of my ankle. Wear thick socks, should be alright. I tried using a bit of oil to soften them, didn't do much. Timberland, please steal the wonderfully comfortable tongue from the Ever Boots and put it on yours.

I always had these boots for work but these seem to hurt my ankle. I do believe it’s the breaking in that’s rough.

Best boots so far. Holds up to all my construction needs. I beat them up pretty good and they take the abuse. Haven’t cleaned them and they smell like a foot but they are going to last decades from what I can tell. Bottom also is holding up and I tend to drag my feet 👍🏼

Get the CRUV HEAL big boy insoles. Break in is kinda rough, I recommend neets foot oil to break these in and give water resistance. Limit you time during break in, your heels will thank you.
