San Francisco Clam Chowder Soup with Bread Bowls

Bought this for my brother for Christmas. Shipping is high, but the product was fresh and delicious. Perfect gift.

I wish the cans of clam chowder were larger. One can is too much for one person but not enough for two. Bread is delicious and flavorful.

I purchased this as a gift for two separate sets of recipients in addition to a set for myself. I always visit Boudin Bread when I am visiting San Francisco and became familiar with Boudin Bread in 1996 when I first visited the area. If you can’t go to Fisherman’s Wharf, ordering online is the next best thing. My only complaint is related to the cost of shipping which makes enjoying this wonderful food more often cost prohibitive.

What a waste and so very disappointed. I have started to buy the bread bowls and chowder several times but the shipping turned me off each time. I have been to San Francisco and have had sour dough and chowder and this doesn't even begin to resemble those flavors and textures. It is a very thick, bland soup. The only flavor it had was a spice they use and the bread was not fresh, very dry and did not taste like sour dough. I would never serve it as meal like they advertise or we would have choked...I know they have a brick-and-mortar store front, good for them but not for me and will not recommend or order ever again. Very disappointed

This box is such a wonderful surprise. Don’t open the bread until you are ready to eat it.It’s hard to heat the bread without drying it out. If you have an oven warmer I would use that after putting the soup in the bowl

Package order included 3 loaves. No expiration date. After the first loaf, I made an educational guess to freeze the 2 until use however, after thawing in room temperature & oven, the sourdough flavor wasn't as tasty.
