PARASENE BLACK COAL SCUTTLE BUCKET 23" - HEAVY DUTY METAL HOD SKUTTLE

Originally brought one of these in 2019. Due to a tiny hole that has now appeared in the bottom I have just ordered another one. I’d say 3 years is not bad.

Value for money, given 4 stars as handles are a little bit thin which means they dig into my hands, not sharp enough to cut, just uncomfortable. Handles are sturdy enough.

Good for what it was bought for, scooping wood pellets from the bunker and into the boiler hopper. Looks OK for coal ovoids but would likely struggle with large lumpy coal.

Good size and looks ok. Not sure how long it'll last - time will tell. Main issue is the rather sharp handles which make it very uncomfortable to carry in when full. I intend to wrap string round the handles to cushion it

No doubt my error in not being careful enough in my research - but do be aware that the opening at the top is so narrow that you need to use a small hand shovel to fill - laborious and time-consuming. I always used a small garden spade to fill my previous coal scuttle (which sadly deteriorated at the base) from the coal bunker. This doesn't work with this item. Also I hadn't realised there is no carrying handle so pretty awkward to move around.
