Nice easily read book
This is a lovely little book. Ion view of cost had expected it to be bigger but it is only 32 pages long. However it is brightly coloured and uses a child friendly font which makes reading much easier. There is lots of facts simply presented and also along the way there is questions with answers easily found on next page. All to entice the little reader to learn and enjoy it. I love the way that the child is actively encouraged to use glossary by printing the glossary words in bold print. I believe children nowadays is introduced to insects in pre school days so although it is suggested for 6 to 8 year olds I think younger children could enjoy identifying the species with adult help. I like it

Short but nicely illustrated guide for young readers
This is a short (32 pages), but well structured and illustrated book for young readers. There are colourful illustrations with a modest amount of text which covers many aspects of insects, arachnids, and snails/slugs etc. and where to find them in the environment. It is aimed at 6-8yr olds and is a good companion to this National Curriculum topic.

Lovely big hardback book full of bright colourful pictures and information for all those kids who love to learn and ask questions. Really great for at home but even better for school. Ideal to use during a nature project.
