Essential History.
It turns out that the secret base is not so secret after all and that there is a wealth of information available if you just know who to ask! This book centers on the mind-blowing skullduggery that emerged from the cold war; everything from rampant nuclear testing to the development of the U-2 and SR-71 Blackbird spy planes and the emergence of the F-117 Stealth fighter.Although the obligatory alien stories do get a mention there is really nothing here that would interest a committed Ufologist. If it is Aliens that you seek then I would suggest that you look elsewhere!

Its censored trivia and rubbish
The title is completely misleading. This chatty coffee table book is a verbose diary of some anecdotes from staff who have retired and certainly remaining quite about Area 51’ s real secrets. I got bored really bored by the final chapter and didn’t complete it out of rage that I’d wasted time considering this at all.The only sentence really shedding some uncensored light was when someone asked about ufos in area 51 and were told never to mention it again if they wanted a career! There’s the book investigate that why didn’t you! Anyway among the myriad of clearly censored stories it appears they are partly responsible for blowing holes in our ozone layer too.Summing up no ufos just boring rubbish and trivia for the masses to be superficially be amazed at ! And did she go on and on and on !

Difficult to Believe
I've read so many books over the years on the subjects of Area 51, UFO's, conspiracies and cover up's etc. but I find this particular story extremely hard to believe if I'm honest. I won't give anything away and ruin it for any future readers. You have to make your own mind up regarding these subjects and try to decide what's true and false, but it's just too far fetched for me and seems to sit so far away from so many other stories and claims. I guess it's just yet another claim. Who knows.

Long read, very well researched
Lived the book even though there is a HUGE amount of detail.People who are massively into aircraft and the history of the secret missions run out of Area51 will love it.What shocked me was the shear number of nuclear explosions the insane crazy people who ran that place set off on a weekly basis for years. You won’t believe the radioactive waste and damage that is left in the area.

The Truth Is In Here
An extremely interesting and well researched, sober look at Area 51 and the assorted black agencies & projects associated with it.Far more worthwhile than much of the hysterical nonsense masquerading as ‘ UFO revelations ‘, and for anyone with an interest in the development and use of U-2, then Oxcart ( later SR-71), a fascinating read.Highly recommend this book.
