Minder MKT001S Personal Alarm, Red

It's a handy lil deal but I wish the flashlight didn't require constant pressure on the button to work.

I just received it. On face value looks VERY well-made, no cheapness about it at all. The integrated light-beam is quite powerful way beyond what I needed to see where I was to insert the key in pitch dark. I tested the alarm, very powerful sound. Most of all, unlike most other personal alarms, in this one the alarm-activating pin with an attached stylish lanyad doesnot hold the key-ring, so in an emergency you pull the pin, activate the alarm and let the pin with the lanyard drop away while your keys remain firmly attached to the device's body and remain with you. In other words you don't lose the keys when you run away in an emergency after activating the alarm. So very well thought-out. Since I just received it, will update later in case necessary :-)EDIT August 29 2015: Alas after 2 months of using it as a key-fob, the red-paint covering it has come off by itself, the small piece of chain holding the ring has come off so I am just left with the alarm-part. I just stick the stripped-up alñarm part into my pocket to use it as a flash-light (the light comes on as long as you keep the small button pressed). Once I removed the alarm-trigerring pin and the alarm sounded just fine. So Ill just take off three of the five stars giving it a 2-star rating for failing as a key-ring and on general appearance while still working as a stand-alone flash-light and a personal alarm after a couple of months' use. This item needs to be worked-upon by the manufacturers to improve durability and general consistency issues :-(

Bought this for my wife for when she walks the dog at night. The unit is a nice size and has a good little tourch. The alarm is easy to set off when needed and very loud. I have no doubt it would fend off would be attackers especially in an urban environment. It gives me peace of mind when the girls are out.

Attaches to clothing or bag. Loud enough to cause a shock and it has a useful light.Within minutes of opening the packing, I bought a second one !

Great product, slightly bigger than expected. Tested one with tea towel and very loud.Great price really. Gave it to my daughter who was thinking of getting one anyway.

Anyone who says this is not loud enough is deaf. It is louder than a car alarm and up close will leave ringing in the ears of anyone in a near vicinity. Highly recommend. Excellent delivery and service too.

Nicely designed product that works well.It is nice and loud when triggered and the torch is useful too.
