and this is by far my favorite. Loose
I've bought all 5 of the Circle Benny Goodman releases, and this is by far my favorite. Loose, relaxed versions, incredible sound quality considering how old it is, with plenty of separation between instruments, and it really does swing. You can hear how much fun the musicians are having in the studio. I almost ignored this one and I'm so glad I decided I was too obsessive to ignore it. Highly recommended for any big band, swing, or Benny Goodman fans. Circle is putting out great product.

This has turned out to be one of my favorite Benny Goodman releases
For some reason I waited a long time to buy this particular CD. Man, was I missing out! This has turned out to be one of my favorite Benny Goodman releases! The recordings are top notch, clear but not overly-filtered. Truly an excellent CD!

Exciting stuff
Not so well known recordings that feature those illustrious swingers Benny Goodman and Bunny Berigan. On some tracks, it's diifficult to say who swings hardest, especially Nobody's Sweetheart. Also doing their bit are Gene Krupa (drums), Arthur Schutt (piano & possibly arranger), Adrian Rollini (tenor sax) and other sterling players. Goodman "quacks" a note early in Dinah but it can be forgiven.
