The pile of the flannel is very plush like that of a good quality towel. I chose a couple of orange coloured ones and noticed that there was an extremely light trace of leaked dye showing in a white bowl of boiled water when I first soaked them after they were delivered. I did not see that as any problem whatsoever and no dye leaked thereafter. I have found that you can achieve a more thorough facial wash with one of these mitts as the fingers and thumb of a single hand can articulate to reach all the contours of the face from within one whilst the mitt stays in place enveloping the hand. Another use is with old style but much more economically sensible bars of soap in the bath or shower, where a bar of soap can be placed inside the mitt so that the mitt can be held to wash the body without the wet bar of soap slipping out of your grip and having to be hunted down and retrieved. I'm a big fan of these mitts as they make a lot more practical sense than ordinary face flannels do. The little cloth hook loops they come with are very useful tooEamonn
