- About this item
- FEATHERED FRIEND: While not as popular as its relative Oviraptor, Citipati is much more well understood by paleontologists. In fact, most artistic depictions of Oviraptor are actually based on Citipati. This ten foot long theropod dinosaur lived during the Late Cretaceous and was very likely covered in feathers.
- THE DINO BIRD: Citipati helped convince scientists of the strong link between dinosaurs and modern day birds, and the way it sat upon its nest, with its arms outstretched, seems to suggest the likelihood that feathers were present to help it better cover its eggs.
- MADE WITH INDUSTRY-LEADING STANDARDS: Like all Safari Ltd products, this figurine has been individually hand painted, features quality construction from phthalate and lead-free materials, and includes an educational hangtag in 5 languages.
- REALISTIC APPEARANCE FOR MULTIPLE USES: Realistic, educational, and fun, this figurine is suitable for a range of interests, including collectors, enthusiasts, teachers, and kids. Admire it on a shelf, use it in the classroom, or simply enjoy playing with it.
- PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS: Citipati measures 7 inches long and just over 4 1/4 inches tall. It's about the size of a large index card. Its feathers are green, blue, dark brown and light brown, with a mask of white over the eyes and on its arms. Its underside is an orange-brown and its featherless lower legs are gray with black claws.
