Love these bits to bits
These carbide grinding bits eat metal like you can't believe. They'll last a long time if you treat them right. I use them steel and bronze to clean up welds. Doing the inside of a small hole is the only time I have ruined these bits quickly. If you're pressing hard and the bit jumps from one side of the hole to the other, then the shaft can bend. When that happens, you notice a bad vibration, and your bit is kaput. Time to get a new one. My advice is to take metal down slowly and lightly, if possible. I would not buy anything but a carbide bit. The ones you get from Harbor Freight are garbage. I keep several of these on hand just because they're so awesome and sometimes I absolutely need them because nothing else will do.

Great set of rotary rasps.
I will be making a lot of carvings with this rasp set. For power carving with a flex shaft tool, this is a great starter set. You have all the basic cutters to help you rough out your projects. You will want to get other types of cutters to do fine details and finishing work. For hogging out and general shaping, these are your cutters.

I'm a mechanic and I finally used this for the first time the other day anf I was extremely surprised at how well this worked. I wasnt expecting this to beable to shave as metal as easy and quick as it did. Made my job so much easier for grinding out a hole I couldng get a cutting wheel into.

Exceeded expectations. Held up well on black iron pipe fittings.
I bought this to remove the thread and "smooth-out" the nozzle of my homemade propane forge burners. It worked great for this and took no damage, maintaining its sharpness throughout. Unfortunately, the modification to the burner nozzle made the gas burn less cleanly, not more so. No fault of the tool, obviously!

Good value, tough
Quite pleased with the sharpness and hardness of these bits. Good variety of profiles, too. We've used one bit more extensively than the others, and while it doesn't feel as sharp to the fingertips, it still chews up the mild steel.Would buy again, and recommend.

One time use
These bits dulled before I even finished putting a VIN number into a steel frame. Was disappointed because the reviews were mostly good and carbide bits should be able to withstand etching steel.

High Quality Set
A good buy for a higher quality set. These are perfect for drimmel tools. Testing reveals a high amount of Cobalt making them very strong and stay sharp. Would buy again.

Good product & glad I bought it
This bit is doing a good job for me. I am using it in my die grinder when making large metal art and it seems to be a great purchase. The bit arrived quickly after I ordered it.

Very disappointed!!
As a Carpenter who works on commercial steel doors and hardware I am extremely disappointed. I decided to try the set out because the reviews looked promising and the price... well, I should have known better. After getting pelted in my face with pieces of the carbide burs just trying to file a strike plate, I can say that I was very unimpressed.The craftsmanship is just not there on the set I received. Just take a good look on the cut on the ball shape bur. It looks nothing like it should and I wouldn't even bother trying it after what happened with the 2 I did use.I do not recommend and will be asking for a full refund.

just ok but could be better
They are not an aggressive rasp profile. Disappointed that the rasp pattern does not extend to the ends of all the tool bits. If you are only using the sides they may be ok, but if you need to use the tips forget it. I would like to see 25% more teeth and carry them to the tip. I want to remove wood, not polish it into submission.

Loose in 1/4" chucks and cannot return the item!
The bur is loose in a 1/4" quick chuck so it does not spin true.Also, i was surprised to find out I'm not able to return the item.Go with Temo brand burs instead.
