Just received this set and am impressed so far. I put all of the pieces up on the fridge to make sure nothing was missing, and sure enough the set contains exactly 80 letters (26 uppercase, 52 lowercase with an extra 'a' and 'e'), and 26 numbers and symbols. At first I didn't quite get why two sets of lowercase letters, but now it's quite obvious you need them to spell lots of common words and names. Not sure about reviews that said letters were missing, I have yet to think of a word I couldn't spell with this set! The pieces are made of a dense foam but there's no chemical smell. The magnetic backing covers the entire letter and seems plenty strong enough. The lowercase letters and some of the symbols are pretty small, so I'm putting those away for now. As other reviewers noted, some of the lowercase characters are indeed identical (why are there four n's and no u's? Oh wait duh) but I don't think there is a way around that. Some kind of color coding system might have been helpful but that's the only improvement I can think of. I chose this set bc I was worried about the small magnets on plastic letters (our guys are still very young). I initially got the Melissa and Doug set but returned without even opening it - you could see the letters and numbers were oddly shaped, and the pieces were so thin it would be hard for little fingers to grasp. Great product! My son is 9 months and we’ve had these since he was crawling at 7 months. We put them on the fridge, the dishwasher and the washer machines and they keep him very busy! He’s of course not making words out of them yet but he loves to move them around and of course chew on them. I thought maybe they were too small for him at first but they really are the perfect size! Seems as though they will last for a long time!

This learning kit is awesome. I ordered it a few months ago and my daughter can spell her full name. She can recognize many letters of the alphabet. What I really love is the quality of the product. Very easy to use and the draw string bag was awesome. I would recommend this product to any parent or educator who is beginning to teach preschoolers letter and number recognition.

The letters/numbers are very nice, except for the letters b, d, p, and q. I wish they would have made them a little different to help with special learning needs. I also wish they would have used 1 color for upper case letters, another color for lower case, and another for numbers. To many colors - no order.The board in my opinion is useless. Our grandson was trying to find the letter with that color. The board is way too busy. Should have upper and lower case and no other pictures. I am glad a purchased Magnetic Board Tabletop Kids Easel - Dry Erase Whiteboard Stand, Markers & Eraser. This works nicely with the letters. I do like the whole magnet of the characters.Would be great to just have children play with. As a teaching/educational item, I gave it less stars.

My purchase of Bizzy Brainz was a gift, that being said, I was not sure if this would end up on a shelf or was being used as a starter learning tool. I was told that this was a great table top board & was absolutely being utilized weekly. Our little guy is 2 years old & truly enjoys learning his alphabet & play time with his parents & grandparents. We also believe that learning tools & interaction is great bonding time with little minds. Highly recommend this & thank you to Bizzy Brainz.

Very cute, but too small for the needs of my child with disabilities. Not as thick as I had hoped, or as large.

My grandson and I enjoy playing with our new magnetic letters and numbers. They are easy to manipulate, have a handy magnetic board to build words, and they are pretty. They were the right price and they were delivered promptly. We ordered a second set so we can make more words!

I purchased BizzyBrainz ABC Magnets + Magnetic Board for my two year old grandson. He loves it! We keep it at our house for when he visits, which is often. He has learned to spell out his name and several other words, and he can identify all the letters. The letters are durable and the magnetic board makes using the letters fun. I would highly recommend it!
