There is the main picture on one side and on the other side a small space is left decorated with little drawings where you can With what, When and Who painted the picture.. it also provides enough space for writing a short story or something like a story diary..i.e. What came on your mind while painting and where it "took" you.. The book was made with huge love and a feeling for detail.. It is a lovely luxurious present for a tender and creative soul.. Review: Very, Very Well Done - I am blown away by the quality of this book. I really enjoy Ms. Markova’s artistic vision and her style. I’ve had so much fun with coloring various pictures and trying to do justice to her gorgeous drawings. Technically, the book is tailor-made for colored pencils; markers can be used, but they will bleed through the paper, so use a backing sheet to protect the next picture in the book. The major artwork is, generally speaking, on the right-side pages of the book, with minor artwork generally on the left. There are some exceptions to this where the major artwork is spread across two facing pages. In these cases, minor artwork is placed on the back side of the two pages. Bear this in mind if you want to use markers they will bleed through into the minor artwork. I’m very impressed with the quality of the drawings, with the world the artist created, and with the excellence of the paper and construction of this book. I’m so glad I found this book! Some have a lot of detail but the details are not too tiny. Yes, it is very expensive for a coloring book. This book takes watercolor like a PRO! If I feel like coloring I can color, if I feel like using markers I can use markers. The paper is smooth like hot pressed watercolor paper but has just enough tooth to be perfect for colored pencils... I've used prismacolor, polycromos, caran d'ache luminance, caran d'ache neo II's and they ALL work Perfectly!!! Lovely images that are not so small that you can art mindlessly!!
