This mat is beautiful and lightweight - perfect for a city dweller like me. I have the sweatiest hands and I did not slip during any of my yoga classes - flow, hot yoga, etc. HOWEVER, this mat is NOT machine washable like the company says. I followed the washing instructions EXACTLY (delicates cycle and air dry) but now my expensive mat is ruined forever. The suede material is separating from the rubber base and the mat will not lay flat anymore. This mat is NOT MACHINE WASHABLE like they said. Buyers beware - spot clean only.

So far so good! I use this mat for hot yoga - it is great for absorbency and nonslipping when you are really sweaty. I have machine washed it once on delicate, and it came out just fine, good as new. I will say that the color of the actual mat is not as deep/vibrant as the image shows (new). You also want to make sure that your mat is dry for the most part before rolling it up/storing until your next class - the moisture will just sit in there :) No weird smells upon arrival or after about a month of use, which I appreciate.

Not my fav. You have to wet it or your hands to not slip and slide. I practice slow flow, blend, ashtanga, but mainly Vinyasa. It is good when you are wet and sweaty. But before that...kinda a challenge not to slip

This is a gorgeous ma\t, but unfortunately, the surface is slippery. I tried out several poses on it, such as down dog and warrior, and I slipped and could not get a sturdy pose. I am so disappointed because the mat truly is beautiful. Too bad it doesn't have a non-slip surface necessary for yoga. If you are not planning on standing up, you could use this mat. But any standing pose -- and watch out.

Beware: The design is printed onto the mat, and is not actually the design of the mat! For $100, I felt completely cheated. The print-on isn't even crisp and clear when you take a closer look. It's pixelated! I was looking forward to seeing the interplay of the variation in texture and color, with the gold flecks, and was dismayed to find out that it's simply a picture of it.Stay away: This company focuses more on packaging and branding rather than on the quality of the goods they sell. Maybe if they quit using virtue signaling and mixing politics with business to market their products, they'd actually produce something of quality.I'm very much looking forward to getting my money back. Gorgeous mat. It's light and grippy when sprayed down. A little small, but that is to be expected of a travel mat. I also machine washed it (hang dry), and it still looks and feels great. The only negative thing I can say is that if you are a 'dragger' i.e. drag the top of your feet along the mat when zombie pressing or pushing back from updog to downdog before flip-toes, the mat can get a bit rough due to the suede top. Still, I wouldn't trade the feel since its amazingly grippy for the hands.

I really hate to leave a negative review, but this mat is not suitable for yoga. As someone who practices almost daily, I was looking forward to this mat and was excited to invest in a beautiful high-quality mat. When it arrived, I rolled it out and, within minutes, packed it up to return. It is thin. Very thin with no support or cushion. Also, it is very slippery and impossible to hold a pose on. The design is also not as vibrant as the pictures, and the logo is a gold sticker. It's not even printed on. I don't recommend this mat whether you are a beginner or advanced yogi, as I don't see how it is comfortable or safe to practice on.

The quality is amazing and it works well on any surface. The best thing though is that it is so beautiful. it makes me want to practice yoga every day like being inspired by art I bought the pink strap to go with it to replace the black one that came with it.
