Donât fuss about the price!
I have two dogs; a seven year old German Shepherd (Bruce) and a three year old Cockerpoo (Toby). Theyâve always slept together so I have to buy very large dog beds - mainly those oversized pillows that retail for around ÂŁ20. Like everyone else I did mull over the economical feasibility of this bed, but Bruce was showing signs of arthritis and needed something more comfortable and supportive for his aching joints.I read all the (excellent) reviews and looked at the long term benefits of buying such an expensive dog bed compared to my usual (much cheaper) choice of bed. Ultimately I came to the relatively easy decision that my dear Bruce deserved something better than a lumpy pillow for his old age. Despite this I still had to squeeze my eyes shut when I pressed the âbuy nowâ button - at just under ÂŁ180 for the largest size it did sting!! However, once Iâd put it together and my dogs immediately fell asleep on it, I knew that Iâd made the right decision. I can honestly say that I wouldnât hesitate to buy another of these beds - though I donât envisage having to replace mine for a very long time. The XXL size is bigger than I thought it would be and takes up A LOT of space, Iâve actually had to rearrange the furniture to accommodate it but both Bruce and Toby have ample room to either stretch out or snuggle up. As you can see from the pictures they look extremely comfortable and once theyâre in the bed for the evening theyâre happy to stay there! The bed arrived within 24hrs in a very large box - be careful when opening it if youâre using something sharp! The memory foam base is what makes this bed so heavy - itâs a really thick slab of quality memory foam (about 6â) and takes quite a bit of effort to get it into the waterproof pillowcase. Once youâve mastered that the next bit is much easier; just unzip the bed base, place the memory foam inside the space and zip it back up.This is a heavy bed, it doesnât really need the non-slip base as the weight of the memory foam stops it from moving around. The bolster pillow offers plenty of support - a bit like one of those firm Tempura pillows - and I canât see how it will ever sag as itâs so thick and rigidly attached to the base. Bruce weighs just over 40kgs and likes to snuggle his head into the bolster, yet it hasnât lost its shape at all.Initially I let Bruce and Toby sleep on the bed just as it was, but I quickly realised that it needed some protection from the unavoidable stains two mucky dogs create, so I tucked a fleecy blanket into it. As luck would have it the blanket just happened to be a nice shade of charcoal grey that blended perfectly with the slate grey colour of the bed đ If you lift the bolster slightly as you tuck your blanket in, the weight of the bolster will keep your blanket firmly in place. As you can see from the pictures, even with Bruce and Toby changing position several times, the blanket hasnât moved at all. Apart from making the base ultra soft and cosy, the blanket helps keep the base cleaner and fresher for longer - and just a quick wash of the blanket is all thatâs needed to keep it that way. I noticed some reviewers had opted for a Pet Fusion blanket specifically designed for this bed, but I already had my blanket, itâs just a regular fleecy blanket for pets and it does the job very well. I havenât washed the bedâs cover yet but from what I can see itâll just be a case of unzipping the cover from the bolster and memory foam and throwing it into the washing machine. If youâre looking for a âproperâ bed for your pet donât worry that youâre spending more than is necessary, this is a high quality bed that is worth every penny and should last for many, many years. The comfort factor it brings to Bruce (especially) and Toby made this such a worthwhile purchase for me. Buy one of these beds and you wonât doubt that youâve made the right decision - letâs face it, who doesnât want the very best for their pets?

Durable, well made, easy to clean and comfortable for dogs.
We have had Large size of this bed for the last 6 years and it is still going strong. We might need to replace the cover as the zip started to malfunction but that is all ( great that it is available to purchase), the cover itself looks good after many washes in hot cycles ( 60c plus). We bought smaller version for our other dogs and the quality seems as good as years ago. Well done PetFusion and please don't ever stop selling this bed.

The XXL is massive!
So we originally ordered a size XXL. The height and depth of it makes it really imposing, so we returned it and got the size under (XL)You can see our black lab in each for reference (2nd pic is fully covered in a blanket). I wish there was a size in between.Amazing product, very thick memory foam even us humans can lie on it and not feel the floor. The foam comes rolled in a tube and you need to depressurise it (1-2 days). Then there is a waterproof liner around it. And then there is the cover with the sides. The side cushions are also removable - they are not made of memory foam, not as sturdy, but they don't need to be.Seem of great quality. There are a few threads here and there hanging, nothing dramatic. I do think it is great value for the price. The return process was very simple and within 2 days we received the new size and were refunded.

Luxurious bed for our old girl
Bought this for our retired greyhound and she absolutely loves it. Itâs the most money weâve ever spent on a dog bed but worth every penny and now she sleeps like a queen! They may be fast runners, but greyhounds LOVE to sleep and our girl is no exception, so we figured a nice bed would be a good investment. Our girl is almost 11 years old and although fab for her age she suffers with all the natural ailments that come with old age. We were concerned about her comfort and her joints when getting up/down. After tons of research on beds ideal for older dogs, this one seemed to come out top. She can now get up and down with ease as the memory foam mattress is raised and comfortable for her. She seems to really appreciate the bolster edge, great for resting her head or feet on and perfect to nuzzle into and hide her long needle nose! We were unsure which size to go for and went back and forth between a L and XL. Greyhounds have the amazing ability to curl up and make themselves really small, but our girl also loves sprawling out, legs and head outstretched. We opted for the XL in the end, itâs huge but so glad we did! She's 28kg and not the biggest greyhound, but she easily fills the bed when stretched out. The bed was easy to put together, the memory foam mattress expanded quickly when unwrapped but we left it for about half a day til first use. Itâs easy enough to clean and the covers come off if we wanted to give them a run through the wash. All in all, super happy!
