We have a Sulcata Tortoise and this works great for his indoor enclosure! We have to keep both sides for water because Max is a very messy eater and if his food gets in the side the water bottle drains into it will go up into the water bottle and dirty up all his water.

The media could not be loaded.  A lot of these self watering devices don’t work because the water just keeps on coming. Not this one. It comes with a bottle, is nice and large and the dish is shallow enough for crickets and lizards to drink from without drowning. I would buy again!!

Kinda difficult to keep the water all on one side when putting the bottle in. Regular water bottles work too

It’s very small. I wish the water bottle was bigger too but in limited on space in my turtles tank.

I like that the item is made of a thick material; but I don’t like that the water bottle is made so poorly?!

Cute but not very functional. Received this yesterday and it's a huge letdown. The water bottle is tiny. It'd need to be refilled way too often. I was looking for something that would keep my turtle in water until my werkly crate cleanout. This will not do it. Only way to use it is to fill bottle, attach tray to it and then flip it quickly rightside up. The tray hold 3/4 of what's in the bottle, so the bottle is fairly empty from the get go. Plus the design for how the bottle sits in its holder is weird (there is a large gap opening) and while flipping it, you will get water on the floor or in uour animal crate. Not to mention I tried moving it around the crate a few times to where it would fit best and water easily sloshed into food portion, getting my turtle food wet. I decided after 10 minutes of trying to make this work to just stick with my old food and water dishes.
