Easily jury rigged into being the perfect cost solution for our needs.
This unit would be rated better if it came with 2 plugs instead of the 1 plug and 2 different length cord as the baby unit will not work without being plugged in, and the parent unit does not hold a charge for the entire night which means having to charge it again and use it while on the charger if desired to use during the day or longer at night. We were able to use a USB outlet plug we already had to connect both units to power but was disappointed we had to invest in finding that solution when one would hope the unit would stay charged for more than 8-10 hours. Continuously attached to power, we find this unit is GREAT for our needs. The ability to turn a night light on and off remotely, as well as talk through the parent unit to the baby unit is fantastic. The sound quality is good - just don't have the units too near each other or there is a little squawk in the speaker if the volume is turned up at all.

Great product for the price!
I love these and think they are super well built. Easy to use, come with everything you need. Audio sounds nice and they are just the right size to not get lost but also not be too bulky. My only complaint is that only the receiver has a battery. Most of the time the transmitter can be plugged into the same place, but sometimes when we move kiddo around, it’s to a room without access to an outlet. Not a deal breaker by any means, just a thought. We will totally buy a second set if these ones ever go bad!

Not the worst, certainly not the best
I bought this because of the rechargeable parent unit. The battery life is horrible. We have to constantly keep it plugged in or it dies within an hour. The child unit is way too sensitive. We quietly play a sound machine for my daughter and the monitor picks everything up. Our vtech unit never had that issue.Overall, I would not purchase again.

Poor Battery Life
We have had this monitor for about 9 months now and it doesn't hold it's charge anymore. We need to have it plugged it constantly in order to use it. The buttons have recently started to not work either. I just tried to turn the volume down on it and it wacked out on me. Spend your money elsewhere.

We made it work for us
I like the sound quality and that they are light weight, but we had to Jerry-rig our own carrybeaner to the tiny hole on the Parent Monitor with some other keychain parts so it could easily be carried. It also doesn’t hold a charge for long so be sure to turn it off every chance you get and charge every single night. We forgot one night and it wouldn’t work the next day. It was fairly inexpensive though so I’m pleased with what we paid for.

Using as Door Bell Extender but even better
I looked at door bell extenders and tried one. Unfortunately it was difficult to install off of main transformer/bell unit and didn't work. I returned it (was over $50) and gave up trying, just too much of a hassle. I work from home and have missed a number of doorbell rings because of location of home office but when I missed a delivery requiring my signature, I decided something had to be done. After some searching on Amazon I stumbled upon this Willcare Baby Monitor. Would it meet my needs? was it strong enough to reach my office? Bingo! The perfect solution with even more added benefits. I never miss a door bell ring now. An even greater benefit? It picks up all noises on the first floor so I know when anyone enters the house. What a great security device! Also, now when my wife arrives in the evening she just announces herself (and I can respond back) without her heading upstairs. Virtually anytime I'm in my office and needed, it saves everyone a trip upstairs to get me. Perfect solution.

Unreliable
When it works, it works well with clear sound and great range. The problem is, the thing will randomly decide to turn its sound off. I know it's still on and picking sound up, because the blue indicator light starts flashing when the baby makes noise. However, you need to hit one of the buttons for the speaker to start working again. This is a pretty major flaw for a baby monitor, whose only purpose is to monitor babies. I don't know if I got a defective unit or what, but it's pretty much useless when it decides to behave this way.
