It is an O2 sensor and it works.
Since this is a universal type O2 sensor it came with no connector which I expected and planned for. What I did not plan for was it to only include the O2 sensor and not the butt connectors or anything else in the product image. I should take a star off from it but enough morons are taking stars off for it being exactly what they should have expected so I wont. I planned to wrap mine in shrink wrap and some specialty hose anyway. I had to buy butt connectors though since this is supposed to come with them. I replaced my Denso(possibly stock) post cat O2 with this in late Feb. I had to have the check engine light gone for March to pass inspection. I knew the check engine light was for my post cat O2 so I picked this up. The weekend after installing it I went on a cruise put roughly 500 miles on the car in a single day. This put me way outside the ready period and we stopped a few times so this was a pretty good stress test. I passed inspection mid March without a single issue. For those of you that have never replaced a O2 sensor before here are some tips. It was my first time doing this too. Don't bother trying to solder(some cars might be OK). By a ratcheting butt connector crimper. I tried use pliers, dikes, even a racheting clamp. Those things are HARD to crimp. Make sure you have enough room to work and everything within reach. Climbing out from under the car every time you need a different tool or part is no fun. get extra butt connectors. I had a few not get a good grab on the wire and it pulled lose with a slight tug. Since it was already crimped I couldn't reuse it. GIVE YOUR SELF EXTRA WIRE TO WORK WITH. Because of the issue above this one I had to cut my wires more times than I would like. Luckily I gave myself a lot of extra wire to work with. I suggest you do the same.

Absolutely terrible to install.
Why would it not come with the standard connection. This is a horrible design. I will never buy this product again.

Bosch 02 sensor
purchased a set of Bosch O2 sensors for my 05 miata. The actual job was much easier than I expected. I was able to access the front O2 sensor from the driver wheel well. I soaked the both sensor with PB-Blaster the night prior and used a "borrowed" O2 removal tool from the local auto parts store (they offer loaners with a credit card payment applied if you fail to return the tool). The original O2 sensor was easy to remove. The new Bosch replacement has never-seize pre-applied to the threads. The harness is correct length. You have to pay attention to the wire colors as the new unit has to be spliced to the original harness. The factory directions are not intuitive - at least for me. The new units have been in the car for about 6-months now and operating as expected.

Great replacement if your wire harness is damaged.
Great product if your vehicle's lambda sensor connector is damage. It was a lifesaver for me when a catalyst in my Mazda RX-8 caught fire and melted the connector. Mazda uses an integral vehicle harness that has to be replaced as a whole, no repair connectors for it are available. Fortunately for me, there was still some undamaged wire left for tapping. This kit worked very well, and the sensor that came with it was recognized by the vehicle's computer. The car drives well, and sends no error codes! Thank you Bosh!

Great OEM alternative
I bought this for the P0421 code on my 2006 Mazda Miata. The OEM sensor was over $120 so I gave this one a shot. You will need your old sensors plug. The splicing will be the most difficult part but after that its plug and play. No more code!

Works perfectly as an OE
Got this to replace downstream sensor on an Outlander. Had to install it in completely different car. Still, it works fine. Had that checked with the scanner...

Great price and availability.
Two years ago, I changed the left downstream O2 sensor with a Bosch universal. Now the right one was throwing a P0139 FC. My go to place - Partsking was out. I found this one on Amazon for like $20 cheaper even! Came pretty quick too.
