It Fits!!
Perfect fit, exactly what I need. I purchased it to removed and install the oil filters on my 2004 Honda Civic. All recommendations from this website, Honda, and other websites was to use a 65 mm x 14 flute socket. I knew that would not work because I had already tried my 64.5 mm socket that I had for the filter on my 2008 Highlander and that was too loose. I got out the calipers and measured across the flats and read 64 mm. This socket had a good review and a good price so I ordered it. I haven't used it yet but it does fit the filter precisely, yet goes on smoothly. It appears very strong and well made. I'm actually looking forward to using it! BTW: On the packaging for the filter it has a list of car models that it should fit and one of them is my Honda filter.

CTA Can I return this?
Like others said the fit is too lose to work. I have a 2015 Volvo XC60 and the actual Volvo cap measures consistantly 85.74mm. The CTA wrench just slips as soon as you apply any real torque. At first I thought maybe I bought the wrong size but this is stamped 86 if you look closely. I had to finish the job so I put 3 layers of aluminum duct tape inside the wrench and that was enough to get it to stop slipping. I bought this about 8 months ago so I guess it's too late to return it but I would sure like to.

Solid tool, great fit on my BMW
I needed to do an oil change on my BMW 135i but not one store local to me carried the right oil filter wrench / adapter. I ordered this one and it arrived quickly. It fits snug without any worry of stripping the oil filter cap or leaving any deep scratches on it. It also fits great on my ratchet, it doesn't fall off easily. I can't think of any ways to improve it, this will definitely stay in my tool bag for future oil changes.

Great Product for BMW's!
Worked perfectly on my 2013 BMW 328i X-Drive (F30) and my 2011 BMW 528i (F10). Seriously buy this product it makes the removal of the filter cap so much simpler. It is setup for 3/8" drive or you could use a set of channel locks for the removal. Before I bought this product I had drained the oil in my 528i and wasn't able to remove the cap. Bought a strap wrench that was a waste of money and if my father-in-law did not have a huge set of channel locks I would have never gotten it loose. I was lucky not to have damaged the cap, so buy the product and your oil change will be a breeze. Huge savings to change your BMW oil yourself!

Nice Filter Wrench for my Volvo V70XC!
I was needing a filter wrench for my 2001 Volvo V70XC and couldn't find anything that fit from the local auto parts stores. Not knowing what to expect, I took a chance on this one since most of the reviews were 5 star and the price was exceptional. When I received it, I was quite pleased with the construction and finish. I have a brand new oil filter housing for my Volvo (since the one currently on my car is chewed up from the former owner using slip-jaw pliers or something on it) and the fit is perfect! I have worked as a mechanic my whole life (aircraft & automotive), and spent a couple of years as a technician at an automotive dealership and I can say that the tool looks like it is designed for heavy-duty use.The stamped steel housing is thicker than those found in local auto parts stores and the drive adapter has a thick arc welded bead along the inside of the tool. So, it appears to be made to hold up to some fairly heavy torque. Although the product description states that it is 1/2", the drive adapter is actually made for direct attachment to a 3/8" drive. Perhaps this error stems from the fact that they offer a much larger wrench (118-131mm) and this is a more accurate description of their other offerings. The 3/8" drive adapter works perfectly and a 21mm socket fits nicely on the external hex. Fits with SAE sizes are a mixed bag, though. I was able to attach a 13/16" 12-pt. box-end wrench, but not the opposing open-end. A similarly sized 13/16" 6-pt. socket was extremely tight, so I wouldn't recommend this size and would just go with the 21mm if you had to use the external hex. Otherwise, just use the 3/8" drive adapter for easiest use of this tool. The adapter also incorporates ball detents on all four sides of the internal 3/8" drive, so your ratchet or extension won't easily fall off while in use.Since this tool is made for oil filter removal & installation, I'm sure that it will deliver as promised. I'll post an update after my next oil change and I get a chance to use it and install the new filter housing I have.

Good product - nicely made
This is a nifty product! I had an old filter wrench that had a 17mm bolt on top that was used to twist off the filter housing. Unfortunately that broke as the top part where the bolt attached to the wrench broke off. This one cuts out the middleman as the 3/8 driver fits right into the wrench. I'm hoping this means it won't break as easily. Nicely made product with some heft to it too! Great price and so far great product. I replace my oil every 7,500 miles so I will report back if it breaks. For reference - my car is a 2007 BMW 328xi Sedan.

Awesome oil filter wrench for 4cyl E36 BMWs!
I bought this oil filter wrench with the intentions of using it with my 1995-1998 BMW 318tis. On these cars the oil filter (a cartridge type) is enclosed in a plastic oil filter housing. On these e36 BMWs and other ones the oil filter housing cover does not have a extruded nut on the top of it to allow you to use a socket and a ratchet. Hence why I needed this fluted wrench. This fluted wrench is awesome. It has much heavier construction than any other I've seen at this price point. I've bought a bunch of different ones from cheap chain auto parts stores to more expensive ones from BMW specific stores and all but the BMW ones costing 2-4 times this one have the heavier construction. The heavy construction does not allow the wrench to flex / buckle like all the other ones when you're trying to unscrew the oil filter housing cover. The other important feature is the recess at the top of the wrench where the 3/8 drive or 3/4 nut is located. All of the cheap wrenches require you to insert your 3/8 drive into the top of the wrench with no recess. For some housing designs this might not be a problem but on e36's it effectively stops you from getting any grip on the housing.

To All " Briggs and Stratton" Owners !
Hi:This is a well made and super quality " Cap Style " oil filter wrench. If you own a "Briggs and Stratton" motor that requires a "Briggs and Stratton" oil filter # 492932S or is a 74mm filter with 14 Flutes then buy this oil wrench. I bought this wrench because my "Sears Craftsman" Ride On has a "Briggs and Stratton" 20 HP Twin V " Intek " motor, with limited { ZERO } space to work in the oil filter area.Be sure to lightly oil both the inside of the wrench and the outside of the oil filter before sticking the wrench on the filter. You can clean up both with paper towels afterwards. This will help when removing the wrench after you instal the filter. This precision tool fits like a glove on the 492932S " Briggs and Stratton " filters.Note: after you tighten the filter by hand remember you only turn any filter a 1/2 more revolution ( turn ), and that is all thats required to keep it securely in place. Over tighten any oil filter and you will almost have to chisel it off, or run a screwdriver through both sides and then you will still have quite a time removing that over tightened filter. REMEMBER { 1/2 turn more after you snug it up with your hands }.The tool is not gold as illustrate, it's silver coloured. I put a black dot on the silver paint of the wrench with a permanent magic marker. That way I can accurately gauge exactly where the 1/2 more turn will be in relation ship to that black dot, when I'm tightening it on that final 1/2 turn with any 3/8th ratchet wrench or socket bar.Sure hope this helps all you "Briggs and Stratton" owners. It sure helped me. I hated doing oil changes before I found this great oil wrench tool. Now it only takes a single minute to both remove and install a new " Briggs and Stratton " # 492932S oil filter.

Fits perfectly for my 2009 BMW 335I
Well built, fits snugly which was just as well as the shop that did my last oil change must have used an impact wrench to tighten the filter. It says its for a Volvo however it works perfect for my Beemer.

NOT heavy-duty! Made of "chinesium"!
This tool broke the very first time I have used, trying to change the oil filter on a 2012 Highlander. Very poor quality, very thin and NOT at all heavy-duty! Made of the usual low quality metal mix called "chinesium".

Not for tight filters...
I bought this oil filter wrench for my 2009 Corolla. This was the first time the oil filter was to be changed after purchasing the car used.It fit the oil filter easy enough but the cap actually ended up getting stuck so I could not pull it out. I decided to move on and worry about it later. I first used my ratcheting socket wrench on the square drive and after making sure of the turn direction I cranked the wrench but the filter wouldn't budge. I decided to try a combination wrench on the hex drive but it still didn't move. It definitely wasn't the safety pin on the filter holding it back either because the filter didn't rotate one bit.I checked the filter wrench and lo and behold the hex and square drive started to bulge off the cap. Tried the combination wrench again but this time added a pipe extension to deliver more torque. What ended up happening was the hex and square drive sheared right off. So now the cap has a sheared off drive, it was stuck to the oil filter housing and I was unable to change the filter. After some frustration, in the end I was able to remove the cap.So the lesson here is NOT to buy this product unless you have previously replaced the oil filter and KNOW it wasn't over tightened. I'm sure the good reviews for this part comes from people with properly tightened oil filters. The drive and the cap on this piece are made separately then joined, which is why it is prone to shearing if you apply alot of torque. If you know or suspect your oil filter is overtightened, your better off looking for an oil filter wrench that is a little more expensive and preferably solid casted.

It fits the spin-on type filters too.
My 2010 Mazda 3 2.5L has spin-on type (not cap style) filter. Since the description 76 mm by 14 seems to fit my filter I sent an inquiry to CTA Tools and got a detailed dimension confirmation. I decided to give a a try because the price is very attractive. When I received the wrench it did not disappoint. It fits the filter and looks and feels very sturdy. What a bargain!

Good fit (2003 Volvo V70 2.5T)
Good fit (2003 Volvo V70 2.5T), though a touch on the loose side. Because of this looseness, it tends to snag slightly on the facets of the filter cover when it's torqued/un-torqued. Actually in a way this could be an advantage, because it prevents the wrench from dropping off the filter cap while you're dangling it above a pan of oil.Initially I wondered from the photos if it would be sturdy enough, compared to the heavier-looking Assenmacher version. No problems there; it will survive my purposes. The hex/square nut is bead-welded to the wrench body, so I doubt it's going anywhere.

Good Quality
I haven't used it yet, but it's good quality and should do the job on the next oil change. Should of bought it BEFORE tackling the first non-dealer 2011 VW Golf oil change. Stupid 25ft-lb torqued plastic filter housing would not budge with other generic strap tools, but this is the right tool for the job.Follow up - I've now used it. Works great, no issues.

Decent quality
Construction isn't as good as I hoped and is loose on oil filter cap. Overall will do what I need it to do.

For BMW X3
Got the 86mm for a 2015 X3, a little bit of wiggle room but it worked fine to get the cap off.
