PolyvineExtra Pale Dead Flat 500ML

This varnish is the best I’ve ever used. Easy to apply, fabulous non gloss finish, fairly quick drying. Arrived on time, very well packed.

Levels out quite easily, but needs a good denib between coats. Product is quite sticky and brushes will need a good brush cleaner, otherwise your brush will become hard and sticky

Really pleased with the finish of this varnish, I whitewashed and stained a wood table to use as an everyday dining table. I needed something really durable to protect against spills etc but that wasn't going to alter the lovely colour I'd stained it to - this did just the job! Has a lovely matte finish but smooth to touch. Only downside was that I put the last coat on just a little too thick and I now have lots of white bubbles - I'll have to sand back and reapply - this is my fault though as I applied too thick. Would definitely recommend!

This really is Matt unlike some other products that are sold as Matt. No sheen at all on the job I was using it for. Easy to use and would buy again

Perfect for sealing chalk paint and adding a protective coat on a wooden top.

I did use 3 coats sanding very lightly after every coat. Not sure about durability, time will tell as used for a wooden kitchen table top. The varnish goes quite gloopy after a while and you must stir the can every time you reuse as there is a lot of settlement in the can which does seem to happen quite quickly. But it is totally matt once dried.

Needed a flat finish for a dining table and this worked well. HOWEVER....1. Make sure you follow the instructions to stir really well, and stir again occasionally if coating a large area,2. Make sure you rub it out with super fine wire wool between coats to remove brush marks. I had to finish with superfine wire wool with soapy water to get a perfect flat finish with no brush marks.It dries to a super hard finish which is needed for a dining table / bar area.
