The whistle was used as a gift to the senior club members after a speech from the police chief on safety. He recommended one in a pocket every time you go out the door as the noise is hard to ignore. Lanyard is easy to carry, but the key chain option is great as it's hard to lose! Only downside is they all had to try them out....inside. All 40 of them. As described and thank you! This is a great whistle, we gave emergency response tracing courses and these whistles are loud and lightweight. I love that they are also attractive colors, most look like cheap plastic and break easily. These are durable and hold up to being stepped on.These would be great even as a necklace for a night out, for the woman that wants to fashionable and safe. 😁

Machined aluminum, very durable, Low-Cost, comes with a lanyard . I have a new SPL (loudness) Meter, at a distance of about 1 foot (more or less) I measured an output of 117db. That is very loud. Certainly enough for the sound to carry through the woods. There are 4 to a pack, I gave one each to my young nephew and niece who are often out in the woods, or in crowded places. Excellent value is a Survival Whistle for a modest amount of money.

I was obligated to buy a whistle after I was harassed on my walk to work. It is small and LOUD. I kept one of each color for myself and shared the rest with other co-workers. I hook it onto my badge holder. Would recommend.

I bought these to have around in the Earthquake Kits for the residential treatment property I manage. They certainly look like they will be better quality and less likely to break than those cheap plastic ones. They are also compact which is important in emergency situations. They are fairly loud, but I do think they should be louder. In real emergencies it will be so noisy that I'm not sure it will be heard. But again, if you are just looking for something cheap this will do the trick. And it's a multipack so every family member can grab one.

Very LOUD whistle. I purchased it for our survival kit but I’m thinking of buying it again for everyday safety for the family. The lanyards/keyrings were a nice addition for STAT situations.
