Fantastic base feel
Fantastic, my experience of low bass too good that I now feel which music has poor base. However, it's bulky and the controller cable is too short are the only areas for improvement.

Horrendously short cable
This review is for the M2X.This invention is mindblowing. It's so good that I would say it's ruined my musical listening experience. Any time I'm listening to bassy music, I'm thinking that this would be better on the subpac. It's a five star product. Maybe a little bit expensive, but the cost wouldn't be a reason for me not to give it 5 stars.BUT - I'm only giving it 2 stars because of removing the longer coiled extendable cable (on the M2) and replacing it with this VERY short non-extendable cable. After having used the M2, this short cable is an absolute nightmare. The control box is almost behind your back which makes it akward to adjust the controls, but most importantly, it makes it very difficult to see if the light is turning red, which means there's a danger of damaging the subpac. It's so annoying that I would recommend people to buy a second hand M2, instead of a new M2X.@ Subpac - if you read this - please reply with the justification for why you changed this cable.

Subpac? More like subpar.
My unit lasted 48 hours before it "burnt out", similar to how a speaker burns out. However, the intensity knob was set to their recommended medium, and I'm using a mere MacBook which won't pump in a signal that's too much for anything. Very shoddy electrical engineering, if you ask me.I'm a hobbyist producer and it's immediately clear the signal to the device is VERY dirty. A regular 50hz sine wave "felt" muddy, not like you'd hear on a real subwoofer. It wasn't so much that the feeling was weird, but it actually felt like there was a saw wave cut underneath it -- like I said, just "dirty".I have been looking forward to trying this product for a long time now, ever since I first heard about it. Unfortunately, it's severely sub-par (no pun intended). For the price, I didn't expect best-in-class but I expected at LEAST a clean signal and a unit that was more than a show piece (it's a very beautiful chassis, I'll give it that).Smaller nits: The control box on the back has a fixed cable that is maybe 10 centimeters long, if that. There is no way to detach it, and it mocks you with a belt/pants clip that makes no sense since it's so damn short. It's impossible to plug in anything without removing the vest, which is annoying since you HAVE to be plugged in to anything if you want to use it for more than just a few minutes (the battery life on it is maybe 10 minutes of continued used, which makes me wonder why they even bothered).Really high hopes, really negative experience. Since all I had to go on were seemingly paid reviews on Youtube, I feel quite deceived. After the initial "wow" factor wore off it was clear I could tape a cheap subwoofer speaker to my back for similar effect.

Pretty darn cool!
Uh, OK! What fun! Interesting to say the least. Very cool for gaming also, but walking around listening to music with this thing on is quite the experience. I love it! Two things; first and foremost is DON'T TURN IT UP ALL THE WAY! It feels very powerful, like more mechanical than actually sound, so you'll blow it up if you push it too far. Two; The cord to the control box is way too short... I mean WAY too short! That is a real bummer, but doesn't take anything away from this devices purpose. When stuff like this comes out you really don't care much about the cost. The technology isn't anything new either, it's just someone had to bottle it so to speak. I really enjoy this!

Constantly worrying about the vibration levels
Like other users have described it feels exactly like you're the back seat of a car with the subwoofer blaring in the trunk. Some songs can benefit from this device but on others it just drowns out the sounds with all that bass. Also I find myself constantly worrying about whether or not the device is vibrating too much since so many users have complained of the subpac giving out on them within a year of use. There is an indicator light that turns red when the vibration levels are too high but since that box where that light shines is way at the back you will never see that light so you won't know when you should lower the subpac level. Now the subpac will automatically shutoff after working in the high vibration range for an excessive amount of time, but by that point you probably already caused the subpac some damage. If this keeps happening eventually the device will just stop working. And by worrying about if I am using the device at too high a level all the time it takes away from the experience of just being able to immerse yourself into the music or game or whatever your using the subpac with.
